Five-Year Partnership Between AraratBank and 4090 Charity Foundation Comes to Successful Close

Under the principal sponsorship of AraratBank, the 4090 Charity Foundation held its closing event titled "History and Jazz." Nearly five years of collaboration between the two organizations has enabled heroes who reclaimed their lives after the war to truly live and thrive.

Years ago, music had no place in the lives of young beneficiaries of the Foundation. There was nothing but war, losses, and long silence. At the beginning of the event, several young veterans took turns taking the stage and sharing what they had been through and how education changed the quality of their lives.

Over five years of its activity, the Foundation provided support to 172 beneficiaries and implemented more than 100 projects.

“We can now proudly say that we have achieved our goal and fulfilled our mission - to improve the quality of life of young veterans through education. The role played by AraratBank in the activities of the Foundation was irreplaceable. Having a strategic partner kept us moving forward with confidence,” said Irina Pahlevanyan, Executive Director of the 4090 Charity Foundation.

“Most importantly, the young men believed in themselves, built their families, and their future careers. Without the assistance of our partner and the ongoing team efforts, we would have achieved little to no results, and these young men witnessed firsthand how tremendous work can be accomplished through collaboration,” noted Mary Mamikonian, Chairwoman of the Board of the 4090 Charity Foundation as she highlighted the importance of cooperation with AraratBank.

Over the five years, the Foundation undertook numerous small and large-scale charitable initiatives. Every single dram raised was went toward covering tuition fees of young heroes, ultimately evolving into education, professions, and a future. Throughout this journey, AraratBank stood alongside the Foundation as a strategic partner and a trusted financial institution that believes education is a path to progress.

“There are always generous institutions and NGOs that making great efforts to create value. AraratBank, to its credit, merely seeks to stand alongside such initiatives by making its modest contribution. Over these years, the young men have graduated from universities, begun gaining professional experience, and accomplished their goals. We hope that with their participation, we will have a stronger, more values-driven society,” noted Mher Ananyan, Chairman of the Executive Board and CEO of AraratBank.

“Within its strategic cooperation with the 4090 Charity Foundation, the Bank has always firmly supported the Foundation and actively participated in its programs, ensuring the payment of tuition fees for the 4-day and 44-day war veterans at secondary vocational schools and higher educational institutions. Today they have achieved remarkable success across various fields. We have a beneficiary who works in winemaking, another who published his own book and held an official book presentation, and a third who will soon open a jewelry workshop at a school—and this chain of success will continue,” says Anna Allahverdyan, Head of Communication and CSR Programs Coordination Division at AraratBank.

Perhaps the most moving and unexpected moment of the event was the story of how love transforms a person's life after war. The love story of one of the beneficiaries - Harutyun, who was wounded on the battlefield, and Arpi - took on a new status right there in the concert hall as Harutyun proposed to his sweetheart.

The audience was treated to unforgettable emotions by the Armenian State Jazz Orchestra, with the participation of renowned composer Robert Amirkhanyan and Masha Mnjoyan. At the end of the event, the young men, now forging a new path in life, also took the stage. The goal has been achieved, the summit conquered. The Foundation is closing, while the young men are setting new heights in the pursuit of development and strengthening of our country.
