«Մեր պատմության դասագրքերում, ոչ մի խոսք չկար Ցեղասպանության մասին». թուրք պրոֆեսոր. «Փաստ»

«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.

«Բռնության ժխտումը. Օսմանյան անցյալը, թուրքական ներկան և հայերի դեմ հավաքական բռնությունը 1789–2009» գրքի հեղինակ, Միչիգանի համալսարանի սոցիոլոգիայի պրոֆեսոր, թրքուհի Ֆաթմա Գյոչեկն օրերս Բոստոնի համալսարանում «Փոքրամասնությունները Թուրքիայում. Օսմանյան Թուրքիայից մինչև Հանրապետություն» դասախոսության ընթացքում խոսելով Թուրքիայում փոքրամասնությունների նկատմամբ կոլեկտիվ բռնությունների, ազգայնականության մասին, անդրադարձել է նաև Թուրքիայի կողմից Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը և ցեղասպանությանը նախորդած ու հաջորդած տարիներին հայերի հանդեպ իրականացված բռնությունները ժխտելու փաստին:

Հայերի ցեղասպանություն եղել է. եզրահանգում է թուրք պրոֆեսորը: Hereandnow–ին տված հարցազրույցում թուրք պրոֆեսորը մեկնաբանել է, թե ինչու է նա այսօր «ցեղասպանություն» բառն օգտագործում Օսմանյան կայսրությունում հայերի սպանությունները բնութագրելու համար:

Քաղաքացիական պատերա՞զմ, թե՞ ցեղասպանություն: «Քաղաքացիական պատերազմի ժամանակ, երկու կողմն էլ բանակ պետք է ունենա, և կողմերի բանակները կամ զինված ուժերը պետք է պատերազմեն միմյանց դեմ: Այս դեպքում` օսմանյան ռազմական կամ կիսառազմականացված կազմակերպություններ էին, որոնք ոչ միայն տղամարդկանց, այլև կանանց, երեխաներին և ծերերին էին սպանում: Դա քաղաքացիական պատերազմ չէր»:

Արդյոք կրոնների տարբեր լինելն էր հալածանքների թիրախ դարձրել հայերին: «Կրոնը հասարակության կառուցվածքի վրա ազդող գործոններից է: Ոչ–մուսուլմանները Օսմանյան կայսրությունում բավականին ինքնակառավարում ունեին, սակայն զենքի ու սպառազինության հասանելիություն չունեին և ստիպված էին հատուկ գլխահարկ վճարել: Այդ պատճառով, ինչպես նաև հաշվի առնելով այն հանգամանքը, որ խառնամուսնություններ տեղի չէին ունենում, կարելի է ասել, որ ոչ–մուսուլմաններն օսմանյան հասարակությանը լիովին չէին ինտեգրվել: Եվ, հավանաբար, կրոնից առավել կարևոր գործոն է եղել»:

Թուրք ժողովրդի ընկալման մասին: «Ես ծնվել և մեծացել եմ Թուրքիայում, կրթությունս այնտեղ եմ ստացել: Մեր կրթական համակարգում, մեր պատմության դասագրքերում առհասարակ խոսք չկար այն մասին, թե ինչ է տեղի ունեցել, ոչ մի խոսք` բռնությունների մասին: Թուրքերը միշտ ներկայացված էին որպես շատ հայրենասեր, անմեղ ու վեհ մարդիկ: Միակ հղումը, որ ինքս ունեի, դա այն էր, որ մի խումբ հայ ահաբեկիչներ մի շարք թուրք դիվանագետների են սպանել 1974–1985 թվականներին: Ես ոչինչ չգիտեի այն մասին, թե ինչու էին հայերը վերացնում թուրք դիվանագետներին: Կարծում եմ, որ սա է միակ ինֆորմացիան, որն ունի Թուրքիայի հասարակությունը: Թուրքիայում միայն այդ սպանություններն են հիշում: Նրանք ոչինչ չգիտեն իրենց իսկ անցյալում կատարվածի մասին: Ինքս էլ այդ մասին տեղեկացել եմ ավելի ուշ, երբ ԱՄՆ եկա` դոկտորական ատենախոսություն պաշտպանելու»:
