В Саудовской Аравии строят самый высокий небоскрёб в мире: Jeddah Tower превзойдёт Burj Khalifa

Строительство небоскрёба Jeddah Tower в Саудовской Аравии планируется завершить к августу 2028 года. Об этом архитектурная фирма, занимающаяся проектом, сообщает Newsweek.

Проект разработан американским архитектором Эдрианом Смитом, соучредителем чикагской компании Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture (AS+GG). После завершения строительства Jeddah Tower превысит нынешний рекордсмен — небоскрёб Burj Khalifa в Дубае, также спроектированный Смитом. Высота Jeddah Tower составит более 1 000 метров, что почти на 173 метра выше Burj Khalifa.

Небоскрёб возводится в северной части залива Обхур недалеко от Джидды и станет центральным элементом $20-миллиардного проекта Jeddah Economic City (ранее Kingdom City).

По словам архитекторов, на момент июля 2025 года строительство достигло 69-го этажа ядра здания, а половина бетона уже уложена. Фасад здания оформлен в виде «пучка пальмовых листьев», символизирующих новый рост и жизнь.

Jeddah Tower будет многофункциональным: здесь разместятся роскошный отель, офисы, апартаменты, кондоминиумы и смотровая площадка на 157-м этаже — самой высокой в мире. Здание также получит «одну из самых современных лифтовых систем в мире» с 59 лифтами, включая пяти двухэтажных. Лифты к смотровой площадке будут двигаться со скоростью 10 метров в секунду.

Строительство небоскрёба началось ещё в 2013 году, однако несколько лет проект задерживался из-за пандемии COVID-19. Работы официально возобновились в январе 2025 года.

Стоимость строительства Jeddah Tower, по данным фирмы, является конфиденциальной, но на сайте компании указано, что проект оценивается примерно в $1,2 миллиарда.

Проект призван стать новым символом Джидды и Саудовской Аравии, а также самым высоким зданием в мире, которое установит новые рекорды в архитектуре и инженерии.
