Ученые с помощью ДНК-анализа обнаружили следы неизвестных коренных жителей Колумбии, исчезнувших 2000 лет назад

Новый анализ древней ДНК охотников-собирателей, живших тысячелетия назад, выявил ранее неизвестную генетическую родословную людей, живших на территории современной Колумбии.

Согласно исследованию, результаты которого опубликованы в журнале Science Advances, люди этого происхождения жили недалеко от современной Боготы около 6000 лет назад, но исчезли примерно 4000 лет спустя.

Некоторые из первых коренных жителей, достигших Южной Америки, поселились на Альтиплано, плато недалеко от нынешней Боготы. В раннем и среднем голоцене (от 11 700 до 4000 лет назад) в этом регионе произошло несколько культурных сдвигов, и исследователи уже знали о развитии керамики, которая появилась в период Эррера, начавшийся около 2800 лет назад. Но то, как эта технология попала в этот регион, до сих пор остается предметом дискуссий.

Чтобы исследовать древние перемещения населения в регионе, исследователи секвенировали геномы, используя образцы костей и зубов 21 скелета из пяти археологических раскопок на Альтиплано, охватывающих период в 5500 лет.

В их число входили семь геномов из местонахождения, известного как Чекуа, датируемого 6000 годами, девять из периода Эррера около 2000 лет назад, три из периода Муиска, чьи останки датируются 1200-500 годами, и два из популяций гуане к северу от Боготы около 530 лет назад.

Но примерно 4000 лет спустя эта популяция, обнаруженная в Чекуа, полностью исчезла. У более поздних групп, населявших этот регион, также не было обнаружено следов их ДНК.

«Мы не смогли найти потомков этих ранних охотников-собирателей с высокогорных равнин Колумбии — гены не были переданы. Это означает, что в окрестностях Боготы произошел полный обмен населением», - отметили ученые.

Полученные данные свидетельствуют о том, что культурные изменения, произошедшие в начале периода Эррера, такие как более широкое использование керамики, были привнесены в регион мигрирующими группами из Центральной Америки в Южную где-то между 6000 и 2000 годами назад.
