На заседании парламента Армении обсуждается вопрос избрания члена Высшего судебного совета

На заседании Национального Собрания Армении 20 января обсуждается вопрос избрания члена Высшего судебного совета.

Правящая партия «Гражданский договор» выдвинула на эту должность кандидатуру юриста Александра Сируняна. Последний был членом правящей партии, который наиболее известен своими оскорбительными высказываниями в адрес оппозиции, карабахских армян и других не согласных с властью лиц.

Кандидатуру Сируняна представил секретарь фракции правящей партии «Гражданский договор» Артур Ованнисян. Она подверглась жесточайшей критики со стороны парламентской оппозиции, которая напомнила кандидату все.

Так, по словам депутата от оппозиционного блока «Армения» Агнессы Хамоян, представители правящей партии, собственно и не скрывают того факта, что Александр Сирунян – член их команды, в то время как закон требует политической нейтральности от членов ВСС.

«Может, безупречная репутация Сируняна и его моральные качества послужили неким критерием? Ведь вы сейчас представляете этого человека на суд парламента? Человека, чьи записи в социальных сетях обильно приправлены уличным лексиконом, человека, известного многочисленными оскорбительными высказываниями в адрес наших соотечественников из Нагорного Карабаха и не только», - сказала Хамоян.

В ответ Ованнисян заявил, что выбор данного кандидата обусловлен профессиональными качествами Сируняна, его биографией и «готовностью бороться за установление правосудия в Армении».
