Международный скандал: Ким Кардашьян попалась на контрабанде древнеримской статуи

У американской телезвезды могут быть проблемы с законом из-за древнеримской статуи, которую контрабандой вывезли из Италии в 2016 году.

Как пишет издание Daily Mail, в 2016 году из Италии незаконно вывезли древнеримскую статую, датированную I или II веком нашей эры. Она представляет собой нижнюю половину женской фигуры — фрагмент самианской Афины Мирона.

Статую пытались ввезти в США в период, когда Кардашьян и ее муж Канье Уэст (с которым она сейчас разводится) начали масштабный ремонт в своем особняке. А Вервордт тогда с ними сотрудничал.

Сама Кардашьян отрицает сейчас свою причастность к контрабанде. Она говорит, что не покупала статую и вообще узнала о ее существовании только сейчас. И что ее имя могло быть использовано без разрешения.

Точная стоимость скульптуры неизвестна, но она была частью партии, состоящей из антиквариата, современной мебели и предметов декора на 745 тысяч долларов. Вервурдт заявил, что приобрел ценную вещь в 2012 году в парижской Galerie Chenel, однако власти США уверены, что в страну была ввезена другая статуя, полученная незаконным путем. Теперь Италия требует вернуть ее на родину.
