Почему люди старше 65 лет больше рискуют повторно заразиться коронавирусом?

Высокий риск повторного заражения коронавирусом среди людей старше 65 лет лет можно объяснить естественными возрастными изменениями или иммунным старением. Все это влияет на врожденную и адаптивную защиту организма. Об этом в беседе с газетой «Известия» рассказала сотрудник научно-клинического отдела МГЦ СПИД Елена Белова (Россия).

В свою очередь заведующий лабораторией анализа показателей здоровья населения и цифровизации здравоохранения МФТИ Станислав Отставнов отметил, что однозначного ответа на вопрос о необходимости вакцинировать людей старшего возраста пока нет.

«Например, недавно выяснилось, что вакцина от AstraZeneca провоцирует тромбообразование, что в возрасте 65 плюс едва ли прекрасная новость», — отметил он.

По данным ученых, опубликовавших исследование в авторитетном издании The Lancet, риск повторного заражения коронавирусом среди различных возрастных групп населения различается. Так, по данным экспертов из Statens Serum Institut в Копенгагене, каждой второй переболевший (52,9%) COVID-19 старше 65 лет рискует заболеть еще раз.

При этом среди людей, не достигших этого возраста, риск почти в два раза ниже — 21,1%. К таким выводам специалисты пришли, проанализировав 10 миллионов ПЦР-тестов, проведенных в стране с начала пандемии.
