Հարսանիքից 6 շաբաթ հետո նրա ամուսինն անհետ կորավ. միայն 70 տարի անց նա իմացավ ողջ ճշմարտությունը

Ներկայացնում ենք ամերիկացի զույգի պատմությունը: Նրանք ծանոթացել էին հեռավոր 1944 թ. ամերիկյան Տեխաս նահագում:

Երիտասարդ Փեգին 22-ամյա օդաչու Բիլլի Հարիսին սիահարվել է առաջին հայացքից: Շուտով սիրահարներն ամուսնացել են, սակայն նրանց երջանկությանը վիճակված չէր երկար տևել:

Ամուսինները միասին անց են կացրել ընդամենը 6 շաբաթ, մինչև Բիլլիին ռազմաճակատ են կանչել, նա Ֆրանսիա է ուղևորվել:

Դրանից հետո նրանք չեն տեսել իրար․․․ երիտասարդն այպես էլ չի վերադարձել:

Ոչ ոք չգիտեր՝ ինչ է տեղի ունեցել օդաչուի հետ:

Նշանակված վայր հասնելուց մի քանի օր անց նա պարզապես անհետ կորել է:

Փեգին հրաժարվում էր հավատալ, որ իր սիրելի ամուսինը մահացել է, քանի որ նրա մահը պաշտոնապես չէր հաստատվել:

Մոտ 70 տարի անց ռազմական արխիվներում Փեգիի հարազատներից մեկը գրառում է հայտնաբերել Բիլլիի մասին:

Հանկարծակի բացահայտված ճշմարտությունը տարեց Փեգիին ստիպել է Ֆրանսիա մեկնել:

Արխիվային գրառումների համաձան՝ Բիլլիի ինքնաթիռը նրա ծառայությունը սկսելուց մի քանի օր անց խփվել է Նորմանդիայի երկնքում՝ Լես Վենտես քաղաքից ոչ հեռու:

Օդաչուն հենց այնտեղ է թաղվել:

Սակայն երբ կինը գնացել է իր ամուսնու գերեզմանին, նրան մեծ անակնկալ է սպասել:

Լես Վենտես փոքրիկ քաղաքի համար Բիլլի Հարիսոնը դարձել է ոչ թե պարզապես հերոս, այլ նվիրվածության և զոհաբերության խորհրդանիշ, հետմահու պարգևատրվել է քաջության և արիության համար մեդալով:

Այնտեղ նրա պատվին է անվանակոչվել գլխավոր փողոցը, որով ամեն տարի անցնում է Հաղթանակի օրվա երթը:

Բիլիի գերեզմանին մինչև հիմա ծաղիկներ են տանում:

Բիլլիի ինքնաթիռը խփվել է Լես Վենտեսի երկնքում և սկսել է արագ ընկնել: Իմանալով, որ ինքը չի փրկվի՝ Բիլլին ամեն ինչ արել է ինքնաթիռը քաղաքից հնարավորինս հեռու տանելու համար: Հասկանալով, որ իր մահն անխուսափելի է՝ Բիլլին որոշել է ամեն գնով խաղաղ բնակիչների կյանքերը փրկել:

Վերջին ուժերով նա այրվող օդանավն ուղղել է դեպի անտառ՝ բնակելի տներից հեռու:

Իմանալով ամուսնու ողբերգական ճակատագրի մասին՝ Փեգին ամեն տարի գնում է Ֆրանսիա՝ նրա գերեզմանին:

Այնտեղ նա հանդիպել է 91-ամյա Գի Սուրլոուին՝ այդ ավիաաղետի ներկայումս ողջ միակ ականատեսին:
