Աշխարհի ամենաանվախ ու ամենագիշատիչ կենդանին

Մենք գիտենք, որ...

Ցամաքային ամենակատաղի կենդանիներն են վագրը, առյուծը կամ, ասենք, հովազը:

Իրականում այնքան էլ այդպես չէ:

Աշխարհի ամենակատաղի կենդանին չափերով փոքր Մեղրակերն է (Mellivora capensis), որին կոչում են նաև Մեղրային փորսուղ: Այդ կենդանին անգամ գրանցված է Գինեսի ռեկորդների գրքում որպես «աշխարհի ամենաանվախ կենդանի»: Սրա չափերը առանց պոչի կարող է հասնել մինչև 77 սմ-ի, քաշը՝ մինչև 13 կգ-ի: Տարածված է Աֆրիկայում և Ասիայում, ապրում է այլ կենդանիների կողմից լքված որջերում: Մեղրակերն իրականում փորսուղ չէ, այդպես նրան կոչել են փորսուղների հետ նմանության և մեղր սիրելու պատճառով: Իրականում նա գիշատիչների դասին է պատկանում և Mustelidae ընտանիքի միակ ներկայացոցիչն է: Խոշոր, հզոր ճանկերով նա քանդում է տերմիտների, մեղուների բները, ուտում է տերմիտների թրթուրներն և մեղուների մեղրը, անգամ կտրում է հավաբների երկաթյա ցանցերը և հավ գողանում: Նա թշնամիներ քիչ ունի, քանի որ բոլորը խուսափում են հանդիպել այդ կենդանուն: Փոխարենը վերջինս կարող է առանց պատճառի հարձակվել ցանկացած կենդանու վրա՝ անկախ չափերից, և անգամ մարդու վրա է հարձակվում: Հայտնի են դեպքեր, թե ինչպես է նա մահացու գոտեմարտի մեջ մտել բորենու, առյուծի, արջի և կոկորդիլոսի հետ: Թունավոր օձերին նա սպանում է և 15 րոպեում ուտում՝ սկսելով գլխից: Ուտում է անգամ երիտասարդ Մեղրակերի, այդ պատճառով Մեղրակերի սերնդի միայն կեսն է կենդանի մնում կյանքի գոյամարտում:

Մեղրակերի գրոհի տակտիկան համարվում է «հարված գոտկատեղից ցած»: Հայտնի են բազմաթիվ դեպքեր, թե ինչպես է նա ամորձիներից զրկել ցուլերին, անտիլոպներին, զեբրերին և անգամ մարդկանց: Պակիստանում Մեղրակերին կոչում են «Bijj» և ասում են, որ նրանք քանդում են գերեզմանները և դիակներ գողանում: Մեղրակերը այնքան վատ համբավ ունի, որ անգամ իրաքյան պատերազմի ժամանակ Բասրայում գտնվող բրիտանական զորքին տեղացիները մեղադրում էին, որ նրանք մի ամբողջ բանակ Մեղրակեր–մարդակերներ են բերել իրենց հետ և բաց թողել բնակչության վրա: Իրականում պարզվեց, որ Մեղրակերները քաղաք են լցվել մոտակա ճահիճներում ջրի մակարդակի բարձրանալու հետևանքով:

Հաշվի առնելով Մեղրային փորսուղի վատ համբավը և նրա «հարվածը գոտկատեղից ցած»՝ բոլոր անտառ գնացող տղամարդկանց համար անհրաժեշտություն է առաջանում ձեռք բերել, այսպես ասած, պողպատե «հավատարմության գոտի», թե չէ, չգիտես, թե որտեղ կհանդիպես այդ կեղտոտ կենդանուն, իսկ կյանքում ամեն բան էլ պատահում է, պետք է ապահովագրվել:
