Նա ամեն օր 18 կմ ոտքով քայլում էր՝ աշխատանքի գնալու համար․ Այն, ինչ արեցին նրա գործընկերները, նա կհիշի ողջ կյանքի ընթացքում

21-ամյա Տրենտոն Լյուիսը միայնակ հայր է, նա ունի հրաշալի աղջիկ։ 7 ամիս շարունակ նա ոտքով ամեն օր 18 կմ է կտրել, որպեսզի հասնի աշխատանքի վայր։

Նա երբեք չի բողոքել կյանքից, քանի որ հպարտությունը թույլ չի տվել։ Նա ընդամենը ուներ մեկ նպատակ՝ աշխատել գումար իր և աղջկա համար։

Տրենտոնը փորձում էր թաքցնել իր կարգավիճակը գործընկերներց։

Ամեն օր նա արթնանում էր առավոտյան 4-ին և գնում աշխատանքի։ Տղամարդը գիտեր, որ ոչ ոք հոգ չի տանի իր աղջկա մասին, բացի իրենից։ Անգամ տրանսպորտային միջոցների բացակայությունը չեր կանգնեցնում երիտասարդ հորը։

Վերջերս Տրենտոնը համոզվեց նրանում, որ աշխարհում դեռ բարի մարդիկ կան, քանի որ գործընկերները նրան նվիրեցին ավտոմեքենա։

Այս ամենի մասին մտածել էր Տրենտոնի հետ աշխատողներից մեկը՝ Պատրիսիա Բրայանտը։ Կինը իմանալով, թե ինչ կարգավիճակում է հայտնվել տղան՝ միանգամից որոշել էր անել այդ նվերը։

«Նա իրեն մոր նման է պահում, — պատմում է երիտասարդ տղան։ Նա բարկացավ իմ վրա, երբ իմացավ, որ ոտքով եմ աշխատանքի գնում»։

Պատրիսիան կազմակերպեց և գործընկերների հետ միասին գումար հավաքեցին ու գնեցին Տրենտոնին այդ մեքենան։ Անգամ մեքենան վաճառողն էր եկել նրա հետ հանդիպման, երբ իմացել էր նրա պատմությունը։

Երբ ամեն ինչ պատրաստ էր, գործընկերները ժողով կազմակերպեցին, որին հրավիրել էին նաև Տրենտոնին։

Քեննեթ Բրայանտը՝ Պատրիսիայի ամուսինը հանեց գրպանից մեքենայի բանալիները և նվիրեց հերոսին։

Սկզբից Տրենտոնը չէր հավատում կատարվածին։ Նա շատ հուզված էր և ի սրտե շնորհակալություն էր հայտնում բոլոր գործընկերներից։

«Ես երբեք սա չեմ մոռանա», — ասաց նա։

Առաջինը, ինչ նա արեց ստանալով մեքենայի բանալիները, գնաց աղջկա մոտ, որպեսզի մեքենայով դուրս գան զբոսանքի։
