Որոշ տղամարդիկ ննջասենյակում ամաչում են իրենց առնանադամի չափից ՝ չնայած թեւավոր այն խոսքին, որ «չափը ոչ մի նշանակություն չունի»։ Ըստ անցած ամիս Քալիֆորնիա նահանգի Սան Ֆրանցիսկոյում տեղի ունեցած Հոգեբանական գիտությունների ասոցիացիայի հանդիպման ժամանակ ներկայացված նոր հետազոտության՝ մեկ անգամ հարաբերվող զույգերի համար առնանդամի շրջագիծն ավելի կարեւոր է, քան երկարությունը, բայց դրությունը փոխվում է երկարատեւ հարաբերությունների դեպքում, հայտնում է Medical Daily-ին։

Առնանդամի չափը անընդհատ վեճերի առարկա է։ Տղամարդիկ կարծում են, որ կանանց մեծամասնությունը «ճիշտ չափերի» առնանդամ ունեցող տղամարդկանց է փնտրում, բայց իրականում մեծ առնանդամ ունենալը կարող է վնասել արգանդի վզիկը սեռական ակտի ժամանակ։ Կանայք կարող են որոշակի անհարամարավետություն զգալ, երբ առնանդամի գլխիկը հայտնվում է արգանդի վզիկի մեջ՝ ըստ healthresearchfunding.org-ի։

Այս բոլոր հարցերը պարզաբանելու համար Լոս Անջելեսի Քալիֆորնիայի համալսարանից Շենոն Լյուն եւ իր գործընկերները օգտագործել են առնանդամների 3D տպված մոդելներ։ Հետազոտությանը մասնակցել են 40 կանայք, ովքեր պետք է առնանդամներ ընտրեին ըստ երկարության եւ շրջագծի՝ սեռական հարաբերությունների տարբեր ժամկետների համար։ 3D մոդելները եղել են կապույտ գույնի եւ 4 մատնաչափ (10.16սմ) երկարությունից եւ 2,5 մատնաչափ (6.35սմ) շրջագծից մինչեւ 8.5 մատնաչափ (21.59 սմ) երկարությամբ եւ 7 մատնաչափ (17.78սմ) շրջագծով։

 

Արդյուքները ցույց են տվել, որ մեկ գիշերվա համար կանայք նախընտրել են մի փոքր ավելի մեծ տրամագիծ ունեցող առնանդամներ՝ համեմատած ավելի երկար հարաբերությունների համար ընտրվածների հետ։

Իսկ երկարաժամկետ հարաբերությունների համար մասնակիցները նախապատվությունը չեն տվել մեծ առնանդամներին, հաղորդում է Medical Daily՝ հղելով Daily Mail-ին։ Բայց հիմնականում կանանց ընտրությունը կանգ է առել 6. 5 մատնաչափ(16.51սմ) երկարություն ունեցող առնանդամներին։ Թեպետ, ավելի փոքր «տնտեսություններ» ունեցող տղամարդիկ չպետք է հուսահատվեն եւ գնան վիրաբույժի մոտ՝ առնանդամն երկարացնելու համար։

Հետազոտության երկրորդ հատվածում կանայք ստացել են առնանդամի մոդելներից մեկը եւ նրանց թույլ են տվել 30 վայրկյան ուսումնասիրել այն։ 10 րոպե հարցումներից հետո (որոնք զուտ ժամանակ ձգելու համար էին) մասնակիցներին խնդրել են 3D մոդելների արկղից գտնել եւ ընտրել այդ նույն մոդելը։ Արդյունքները ցույց են տվել, որ արդեն 10 րոպեանոց ընդմիջումից հետո կանայք ավելի չափազանցնում են իրենց տեսած եւ ուսումնասիրած առնանդամի չափերը։
