Այս փոքրիկ աղջնակին ոտքից կապել էին մարդաշատ փողոցում. Պատճառն իմանալով՝ անհնար է զսպել արցունքները…

Այս լուսանկարն արվել է հնդկական Ահմադաբադ քաղաքի մարդաշատ փողոցում, այն տարածվել է ողջ աշխարհով մեկ: Լուսանկարում 15 ամսական աղջնակ է՝ Շիվանին, ով ոտքից պապված է մեծ բետոնե բլոկից՝ ինչպես կենդանի: Փոքրիկն այդպես մի ամբողջ օր է անցկացրել՝ 40 աստիճան շոգին:

Ամենասարսափելին այն է, որ փոքրիկին ոչ ոք ուշադրություն չէր դարձնում, և բոլոր անցորդներն ընդունում էին դա այնպես, կարծես այդպես էլ պետք է լիներ: Երբ ոչ անտարբեր մարդիկ վերջապես նկատեցին աղջկան և որոշեցին իմանալ, թե ինչումն է բանը՝ հետևյալը պարզվեց:

Պարզվեց, աղջկա հետ այդպես էին վարվել սեփական ծնողները և արել էին դա փոքրիկի իսկ օգտի համար: Բանը նրանում է, որ փոքրիկի հայրն ու մայրն աշխատում են շինարարության ոլորտում, ինչի դիմաց ստանում են օրական 250 ռուպի (մոտավորապես 3,7 դոլար): Այդ գումարը նրանց բավականացնում է միայն ուտելիքի համար, և նրանք ուղղակի հնարավորություն չունեն դայակ վարձելու…

«Մենք նույնիսկ չենք կարող տանը թողնել մեր երեխաներին, քանի որ մշտապես քաղաքից քաղաք ենք տեղափոխվում շինարարական խմբի հետ, գիշերում ենք վրաններում: Մենք բարեկամներ չունենք, ովքեր կարող են հոգ տանել երեխաների մասին, այդ պատճառով էլ մենք ստիպված ենք երեխաներին մեզ հետ վերցնել: Օրվա ընթացքում ես ժամանակ չեմ ունենում հոգ տանել երեխաների մասին, քանի որ դրա պատճառով ես կարող եմ կորցնել աշխատանքս: Ողջ օրվա ընթացքում ես երեխաներիս տեսնում եմ միայն ճաշի ընդմիջմանը, որը միայն բավականացնում է, որ ես կերակրեմ նրանց:

Այժմ մենք հաղորդալարեր ենք տեղադրում մարդաշատ, աշխույժ մայրուղում, և ես վախենում եմ, որ երեխաները կարող են մեքենայի տակ ընկնել: Մեծ տղաս հինգ տարեկան է, և նա արդեն հասկանում է վտանգը և դուրս չի գալիս մայրուղի: Բայց որպեսզի Շիվանին հանկարծ մեքենայի տակ չընկնի, ես ստիպված եմ նրան այդպես կապել», – իր արարքն այսպես է բացատրում 23-ամյա Սարտա Կալարան՝ աղջկա մայրը:

Save the Children India բարեգործական հիմնադրամի ակտիվիստները որոշել են ողջ աշխարհի ուշադրությանը ներկայացնել հնդիկ երեխաների այս խնդիրը: Նրանց տվյալների համաձայն Հնդկաստանում 40 միլիոն շինարար կա, և նրանց հինգերորդ մասը կանայք են: Եվ այդ աշխատողներից մեծ մասը հանդիպում է նման խնդրի:
