6-ամյա աղջնակը մահացավ քաղցկեղից. 3 օր անց մայրիկը նրա պահարանում տեսնելով սա, չկարողացավ զսպել իր արցունքները…

ԱՄՆ-ից Ելենա Դեսերիչը շատ հաճելի և բարի աղջիկ էր: Նա պաշտում էր ընթերցանությունը, տան գործերը անել, խաղաղալ ընկերների և շան հետ: Սակայն մի քանի օր անց ամեն ինչ փոխվեց: Բժիշկներն աղջնակի գլխում քաղցկեղ հայտնաբերեցին:

Բժիշկների կանխատեսումները ծայրահեղ վատ վիճակի մեջ էին դրել նրա հարազատներին: Երեխայի ծնողները` Կիտը և Բրուկը որոշել էին աղջկա կյանքի վերջին օրերը մաքսիմալ երջանիկ դարձնել:

Երբ 6-ամյա փոքրիկը, ով նոր նոր էր սկսել գրել կարդալ սովորել, սկսեց գիտակցել իր առողջական վիճակի ողջ լրջությունը և նամակներ գրեց ուղղված իր ծնողներին, քույրիկին և անգամ շանը:

Կյանքի վերջին ամիսների ընթացքում Ելենայի առողջական դրությունը շարունակում էր վատանալ: Ժամանակի ընթացքում փոքրիկը կորցրեց խոսելու ունակությունը, իսկ ավելի ուշ նրա մարմինը մասամբ պարալիզացվեց: Սակայն այդ վիճակում անգամ նա շարունակում էր սիրո խոստովանությամբ գրություններ գրել իր հարազատներին ուղղված:

Գրություններից առաջինը Ելենայի ծնողները գտան նրա մահվանից մի քանի օր անց: Աղջկա մյուս գրառումները նրանք գտան հաջորդ տարիների ընթացքում տան անսպասելի անկյուններում:

Երբ մահացած աղջկա բոլոր գրառումները հայտնաբերվեցին, Ելենայի ծնողները որոշեցին դրանք տպագրել գրքի տեսքով, որի վաճառքից ստացված եկամուտը նրանք նվիրաբերում են բարեգործական հիմնադրամներին:

Անգամ այս տարբերակով փոքրիկ Ելենան կարողացավ իր ներդրումն ունենալ այդ ծանր հիվանդության դեմ մղվող համաշխարհային պայքարում, իսկ նրա նամակները մինչ օրս հույս են ներշնչում և ոգևորում ամբողջ աշխարհում ապրող մարդկանց:
