Շրի Լանկայում ջրհեղեղի հետևանքով առաջացած զոհերի թիվը հասել է 123-ի

Շրի Լանկայում «Դիտվա» ցիկլոնի պատճառով առաջացած հորդառատ անձրևներն ու ջրհեղեղները խլել են 123 մարդու կյանք, ևս 130-ը համարվում են անհետ կորած, հաղորդում է AFP-ն՝ հղում անելով Աղետների կառավարման կենտրոնին (DMC):

Գլխավոր տնօրեն Սամպաթ Կոտուվեգոդան հայտնել է, որ ներկայումս իրականացվում են օգնության ցուցաբերման աշխատանքներ և 43 995 մարդ տեղափոխվել է պետական սոցիալական ապահովության կենտրոններ այն բանից հետո, երբ նրանց տները ավերվել են մեկ շաբաթ տևած հորդառատ անձրևների հետևանքով։

«Զինված ուժերի օգնությամբ իրականացվում են օգնության գործողությունները», - Կոլոմբոյում լրագրողներին ասել է Կոտուվեգոդան։

Եղանակային պայմանների հետևանքները զգացվել են դեռևս երկուշաբթիից, թեև ցիկլոնը ցամաքին է հասել չորեքշաբթի օրը՝ առաջացնելով ռեկորդային տեղումների քանակ ամբողջ կղզում։ Ցածրադիր վայրերում ջրհեղեղի իրավիճակը վատթարացել է շաբաթ օրը, ինչը դրդել է իշխանություններին տարհանման հրամաններ տալ Քելանի գետի ափերին բնակվողներին, որը Կոլոմբոյից թափվում է Հնդկական օվկիանոս։ Քելանի գետը դուրս է եկել իր ափերից ուրբաթ երեկոյան՝ ստիպելով հարյուրավոր մարդկանց տեղափոխվել ժամանակավոր ապաստաններ, հայտնում է DMC-ն։

Անձրևները դադարել են երկրի մեծ մասում, ներառյալ մայրաքաղաքում, սակայն կղզու հյուսիսային որոշ շրջաններում տեղումներ են եղել «Դիտվա» ցիկլոնի մնացորդային հետևանքների պատճառով։ Պաշտոնական անձինք հայտնել են, որ շաբաթ օրը վաղ առավոտյան Հնդկաստանն ինքնաթիռ է ուղարկել տուժածների համար նախատեսված բեռով։ Հնդկաստանի վարչապետ Նարենդրա Մոդին ցավակցություն է հայտնել Շրի Լանկայում մարդկային կորուստների կապակցությամբ և հայտարարել, որ Նյու Դելին պատրաստ է ուղարկել լրացուցիչ օգնություն։

DMC-ի ներկայացուցիչները հայտնել են, որ ակնկալում են, որ ջրհեղեղի մակարդակը ավելի վատ կլինի, քան 2016 թվականին, երբ ամբողջ երկրում զոհվել էր 71 մարդ։ Այս շաբաթ եղանակային պայմանների հետ կապված զոհերի թիվն ամենաբարձրն է եղել անցյալ տարվա հունիսից ի վեր, երբ հորդառատ անձրևների հետևանքով զոհվել է 26 մարդ։ Դեկտեմբերին ջրհեղեղների և սողանքների հետևանքով զոհվել էր 17 մարդ։ Դարի սկզբից ի վեր Շրի Լանկայի կրած ամենաուժեղ ջրհեղեղը տեղի է ունեցել 2003 թվականի հունիսին, երբ զոհվել էր 254 մարդ։
