Պետականություն առանց խորհրդանիշի, հասարակություն առանց ազատության

Վաշինգտոնյան փաստաթուղթը իշխանության կողմից ներկայացվում է որպես դիվանագիտական հաջողություն, սակայն իրականում այն ունի առավելապես քարոզչական նշանակություն։ Այն չի բերում իրական անվտանգային կամ տնտեսական արդյունք, բայց օգտագործվում է ներսում դիրքերը ամրապնդելու համար։

Ամբողջովին այլ, սակայն ոչ պակաս վտանգավոր գործընթաց է Արարատ լեռան պատկերը պետական կնիքներից և անձնագրային դրոշմակներից հանելու փորձը։ Սա ոչ թե տեխնիկական փոփոխություն է, այլ ազգային ինքնության արմատներին ուղղված հարված։ Երբ փորձում են պետական խորհրդանիշներից ջնջել Արարատը, նշանակում է՝ փորձում են նաև պատմական հիշողությունը դուրս մղել հասարակության գիտակցությունից։

Այս ամենը տեղի է ունենում այն ֆոնին, երբ ներսում իշխանությունը շարունակում է բռնաճնշումները։ Սամվել Կարապետյանի կալանավորումը, որն արդեն իսկ միջազգային հանրության կողմից գնահատվում է որպես քաղաքական շարժառիթներով պայմանավորված, դարձավ հերթական ապացույցը, որ գործող վարչակազմը պայքարում է ոչ թե հանցագործությունների, այլ այլախոհության դեմ։ Փոխանակ գնահատելու ներդրումներն ու ծրագրերը, որոնք ուղղված էին արդյունաբերության զարգացմանն ու սոցիալական խնդիրների լուծմանը, իշխանությունը գործարարին փորձում է ներկայացնել որպես սպառնալիք միայն նրա համար, որ նա ունի քաղաքական դիրքորոշում։

Նույն պատկերը նաև եկեղեցու պարագայում է։ Վերջին ամիսներին ձերբակալված հոգևորականները վկայում են, որ իշխանությունը չի հանդուրժում ոչ մի այլընտրանքային կենտրոն, ոչ մի հենասյուն, որը կարող է հակակշռել իրենց միանձնյա իշխանությանը։ Այն, ինչ անում են եկեղեցու դեմ, ոչ թե իրավական է, այլ քաղաքական հաշվեհարդար։

Արդյունքում ստացվում է, որ Վաշինգտոնյան փաստաթուղթը, Արարատ լեռան խորհրդանիշի ջնջումը, գործարարների և հոգևորականների նկատմամբ ճնշումները նույն շղթայի օղակներն են։ Դա պետականության հիմքերը քայքայելու հետևողական ծրագիր է՝ ներկայացվող որպես բարեփոխում կամ միջազգային ինտեգրում։ Սակայն իրականում այն նշանակում է մեկ բան․ Հայաստանը զրկվում է իր խորհրդանիշներից, իր ազատականությունից և իր ինքնությունից։

Եվ եթե այսօրվա իշխանությունները վստահ են, որ կարող են մաքրել կնիքներից Արարատը, վաղը կփորձեն մաքրել նաև մարդկանց հիշողությունից։ Բայց պատմությունը ցույց է տալիս, որ Արարատը հնարավոր չէ վերացնել ոչ թղթերից, ոչ կնիքներից, ոչ էլ ժողովրդական հիշողությունից։ Իսկ նրանք, ովքեր փորձում են դա անել, վաղ թե ուշ մնում են հենց պատմության փլատակների տակ։
