Օգոստոսի 22-ը Ծովակալ Իսակովի ծննդյան օրն է

1894թ. օգոստոսի 22-ին է ծնվել Սովետական Միության հերոս, Սովետական միության նավատորմի ծովակալ Հովհաննես (Իվան) Ստեփանի Իսակովը:

Նա ծնվել է Գարդմանքի Հաջիկհենդ գյուղում երկաթուղային բանվորի ընտանիքում։ Իսակովը պատկանում է այն մարդկանց թվին, որոնց կյանքն անհամեմատ ավելի հարուստ է, քան նրանց մասին հյուսված լեգենդները։ Մեծ է նրա ավանդը Խորհրդային նավատորմի՝ հատկապես Երկրորդ Աշխարհամարտի ժամանակ Բալթիկ և Սև ծովերի նավատորմերի ստեղծման գործում։

Ռազմական գործչից բացի՝ Իսակովը նաև գրող էր։ 1958 թվականից Խորհրդային Միության Գիտությունների Ակադեմիայի օվկիանոսագիտության կոմիտեի անդամ է եղել, իսկ 1967 թվականից՝ Հայաստանի ԳԱԱ պատվավոր անդամ։ Նախ սովորել է Թիֆլիսի վարժարանի մաթեմատիկայի և գիտության բաժնում։ 1913 թ. ընդունվել է Սանկտ-Պետերբուրգի տեխնոլոգիական ինստիտուտը։ 1917 թ. Իսակովը մեկնել է Պետրոգրադ և ընդունվել ծովային դպրոց։

Ավարտելով՝ ստացել է սպայի կոչում։ Ռուսական հեղափոխությունից հետո ծառայությունը շարունակել է Բալթիկ ծովի նավատորմում, ուր ծառայել է «Իզյասլավ», «Ռիգա», «Կոբչիկ» ռազմական նավերի վրա։

1918 թ. մինչև Բրեստ-Լիտովսկի համաձայնագրի կնքումը մասնակցել է գերմանական նավատորմի դեմ մղված բազմաթիվ մարտերին։ 1920 թվականից տեղափոխվել է Կասպից ծով և ծառայել որպես «Դյատելնըստ» հեծելավաշտային ականակիրի հրամանատար։ 1922-23 թթ. ղեկավարել է Սև ծովի կապի և հետաքննության ծառայության հարավային ստորաբաժանումը։ 1923-27 թթ. աշխատել է սևծովյան նավատորմի ռազմածովային ուժերի շտաբի պետի տեղակալ։ 1928 թ. Իսակովն ավարտել է Լենինգրադի ռազմածովային ակադեմիայի բարձրաստիճան հրամանատարական կազմի կատարելագործման դասընթացները։

1932 թվականից Իսակովը դարձել է Լենինգրադի ռազմածովային ակադեմիայի օպերատիվ արվեստի ամբիոնի պրոֆեսոր և դասավանդել է միևնույն ուսումնական հաստատությունում՝ մինչ բալթյան նավատորմի հրամանատար նշանակվելը։ 1938 թ. ստացել է լեյտենանտ-գնդապետի կոչում և նշանակվել ռազմածովային գլխավոր վարչությունների ղեկավար։ Երկրոդ Աշխարհամարտի ժամանակ Իսակովը ղեկավարել է հյուսիսկովկասյան ճակատը։ 1942 թ. հոկտեմբերի 4-ին գերմանացիների հարձակումից Իսակովը վիրավորվել է Տուափսեում, որի պատճառով ստիպված են եղել մի ոտքն անդամահատել։ Պատերազմի մնացած ժամանակահատվածը անց է կացրել ռազմական հոսպիտալում։ 1944 թ. մայիսի 31-ին Իսակովին շնորհվել է Խորհրդային Միության ռազմածովային ադմիրալի կոչում։ Մեծ է նրա ավանդը նաև ռազմական ոլորտում գիտական ուսումնասիրություններ իրականացնելու գործում։

1932 թ. ստանալով պրոֆեսորի կոչում՝ Իսակովը իր ժամանակի մեծ մասը ծախսել է ռազմածովային տակտիկաների և ստրատեգիաների մշակման վրա, որոնք ի դեպ շատ են օգտագործվել Երկրորդ Աշխարհամարտի ժամանակ նացիստական Գերմանիայի դեմ մղված մարտերում։ 1937 թ. պաշտպանելով դիսերտացիան՝ Իսակովը ստացել է ռազմական գիտությունների դոկտորի աստիճան։ Արժանացել է բազմաթիվ մրցանակների ու պարգևների։

Մահացել է 1967 թ. հոկտեմբերի 11-ին՝ Մոսկվայում։
