Վահագն Թումասյանի անունով գրքերի ֆոնդ է բացվել

«Վահագն Թումասյանը, որի անունը հպարտությամբ ենք տալիս այսօր, մեկն էր նրանցից, ով ապրեց ոչ միայն իր կյանքի համար, այլ նաև մեր խաղաղ առավոտների ու մեզ ժառանգված հայրենիքի համար»,– Աբովյան քաղաքի համայնքային գրադարանում բացվել է հերոս հետախույզի անունով գրքերի ֆոնդ։ Երեկ հերոսի ծննդյան օրն էր։ Վահագն Թումասյանը եղել է հատուկ նշանակության դիպուկահար, որից հետո՝ հետախույզ, ռազմական գործողությունների ընթացքում փրկել է 82 զինվորականի կյանք։

Վահագն Թումասյանը զոհվել է 2020 թվականի հոկտեմբերի 12-ին, Հադրութի շրջանում՝ 44-օրյա պատերազմի ժամանակ, Ադրբեջանի Հանրապետության հրթիռակոծության հետևանքով։ Վահագն Թումասյանը հուղարկավորվել է Եռաբլուրում, հետմահու պարգևատրվել է «Մարտական խաչ» առաջին աստիճանի շքանշանով։

2021 թվականին Երևանի պետական համալսարանի լսարաններից մեկն անվանվել է Վահագն Թումասյանի անունով, իսկ 2022 թ.՝ Աբովյանի մարզահամալիրը։ Երեկ էլ գրադարանում հերոսին նվիրված միջոցառում է եղել։ Գրադարանում կպահվեն հերոսի հոր անձնական գրքերը, որոնք ժամանակին կարդացել է Վահագն Թումասյանը։ Աբովյանի քաղաքապետն էլ բազմաթիվ գրքեր է նվիրել։

Հերոսի հարազատներն ու ընկերները , Աբովյանի համայնքապետարանի աշխատակազմի և ավագանու անդամները ներկա են եղել նաև հերոսի մեծարման ու հիշատակի միջոցառմանը։
