Դժվար է նկարագրել Եվրոպական Միությունը՝ իր երբեմնի վստահելի դաշնակցի՝ Միացյալ Նահանգների անդադար հարձակումներից հետո: Թրամփի երկրորդ վարչակազմի կողմից Գրենլանդիայի նկատմամբ սպառնալիքը, նրա լայնածավալ սակագնային պլանները և Մոսկվայի հանդեպ նրա սիրահետումն ամրապնդել են որոշ եվրոպական առաջնորդների խոստումները՝ նվազեցնել իրենց կախվածությունն Ամերիկայից, գրում է Associated Press-ը։

«Դա աննկատ չի մնացել մեկ այլ համաշխարհային տերության համար: Չինաստանը հույս ունի Եվրոպան անջատել Միացյալ Նահանգներից և այժմ Արևմուտքը բաժանելու հնարավորություն է զգում։ Վերջին մի քանի տարիների ընթացքում ԵՄ-ն գործել է Վաշինգտոնի հետ համատեղ՝ մաքսատուրքեր սահմանելով չինական էլեկտրական մեքենաների վրա և պատժամիջոցներ կիրառելով մարդու իրավունքների խախտումների մեջ մեղադրվող չինացի պաշտոնյաների նկատմամբ: Այժմ Վաշինգտոնի հետ պոտենցիալ երկարատև առևտրային պատերազմի մեջ գտնվող Պեկինը 27 երկրներից բաղկացած դաշինքը համարում է ցանկալի գործընկեր՝ Թրամփի մաքսատուրքերը մեղմելու և համաշխարհային շուկայում իր ամուր դիրքը պահպանելու համար», - գրում է ամերիկյան լրատվամիջոցը:

Սակայն հինգշաբթի օրը Բրյուսելում հավաքված ԵՄ առաջնորդների համար, որոնք քննարկում են Չինաստանի հարցը` տարածաշրջանային և համաշխարհային բազմաթիվ մարտահրավերների ֆոնին, Պեկինի հետ հարաբերությունների կարգավորումը հեշտ գործ չէ։

Հուլիսին Չինաստանում կայանալիք գագաթնաժողովը՝ կապերի 50-ամյակի առթիվ, կարող է լինել երկու համաշխարհային հսկաների միջև նոր կոնսենսուսի առաջին ակնարկը: Եվրոպան մեծ հույսեր է կապում Չինաստանի հետ։

Ինչպես նշում է Associated Press-ը, ԵՄ-ի և Չինաստանի միջև տնտեսական կապերն աճում են, երկկողմ առևտուրը գնահատվում է օրական 2.3 միլիարդ եվրո։

Չինաստանն ապրանքների առումով Միացյալ Նահանգներից հետո ԵՄ-ի երկրորդ խոշորագույն առևտրային գործընկերն է։ Ե՛վ Չինաստանը, և՛ ԵՄ-ն իրենց շահերից են բխում պահպանել կայուն առևտրային կապերը՝ համաշխարհային տնտեսության օգտին, և նրանք ընդհանուր նպատակներ ունեն կլիմայի փոփոխության հարցում: Ինչպես Միացյալ Նահանգները, Եվրոպան նույնպես հսկայական առևտրային դեֆիցիտ ունի Չինաստանի հետ, որը անցյալ տարի կազմել է մոտ 300 միլիարդ եվրո։
