Թռչունների 500 տեսակ կարող է անհետանալ Երկրի երեսից

Ավելի քան 500 թռչունների տեսակ կարող է անհետանալ Երկրի երեսից առաջիկա 100 տարվա ընթացքում՝ կլիմայի փոփոխության և նրանց բնական միջավայրի ոչնչացման պատճառով։ Այս եզրակացությանն են հանգել Ռեդինգի համալսարանի գիտնականները։ Աշխատանքը հրապարակվել է Nature Ecology & Evolution (NEE) ամսագրում։

Դա երեք անգամ ավելի է, քան 1500 թվականից ի վեր անհետացած թռչունների տեսակները: Գիտնականները զգուշացնում են, որ եզակի տեսակների, ինչպիսիք են մերկ պարանոցով հովանոցավոր թռչունը, սաղավարտավոր եղջյուրակտորը և դեղին փորով արևածաղիկը, կորուստը կհանգեցնի թռչունների ձևերի և չափերի բազմազանության նվազմանը ամբողջ աշխարհում, ինչն էլ իր հերթին կվնասի դրանցից կախված էկոհամակարգերին:

Նույնիսկ եթե մարդածին ազդեցությունը (որսորդությունը, անտառահատումը և գլոբալ տաքացումը) լիովին դադարեցվի, մոտ 250 թռչունների տեսակ փրկել ոչնչացումից հնարավոր չի լինի. դրանք արդեն իսկ չափազանց խոցելի են։

«Շատ թռչուններ այնքան վտանգված են, որ միայն մարդկային ազդեցության նվազեցումը բավարար չէ: Նրանք պահանջում են հատուկ վերականգնման ծրագրեր՝ անազատության մեջ բազմացում, բնակավայրի վերականգնում և որսագողերից պաշտպանություն», - ասաց ուսումնասիրության ղեկավար Քերի Ստյուարտը:
