Ես Իրանին հնարավորություն տվեցի գործարք կնքելու։ Ես նրանց ասացի, ամենահստակ խոսքերով, «պարզապես արե՛ք դա», բայց անկախ նրանից, թե որքան ջանք թափեցին, անկախ նրանից, թե որքան մոտեցան գործարքի կնքմանը, չկարողացան անել. այս մասին Truth Social սոցկայքում գրել է ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը՝ մեկնաբանելով Իսրայելի հարձակումն Իրանի վրա:

«Ես նրանց ասացի, որ իրենց սպասվածից շատ ավելի վատ է լինելու: Մենք ասացինք՝ Միացյալ Նահանգները, անկասկած, արտադրում է աշխարհի լավագույն և ամենամահացու ռազմական տեխնիկան, և որ Իսրայելը դրանից շատ ունի և դեռ շատ ավելին է ունենալու։ Եվ նրանք գիտեն, թե ինչպես օգտագործել դա։ Որոշ իրանցի կոշտ գծի կողմնակիցներ շատ համարձակ  էին խոսում, բայց չգիտեին, թե ինչ էր պատահելու։ Նրանք բոլորը հիմա մեռած են, և իրավիճակը միայն ավելի է վատթարանալու: Շատ մահեր ու ավերածություններ արդեն եղել են, բայց դեռ ժամանակ կա այս կոտորածին վերջ տալու համար», - ասել է նա:

Թրամփի խոսքով՝ հաջորդ՝ արդեն պլանավորված հարձակումները կլինեն ավելի դաժան։

«Իրանը պետք է գործարք կնքի, նախքան ոչինչ չմնա, և փրկի այն, ինչը մի ժամանակ հայտնի էր որպես Իրանական կայսրություն։ Այլևս ո՛չ մի մահ, ո՛չ մի ավերածություն, ՊԱՐԶԱՊԵՍ ԱՐԵՔ ԴԱ, ՔԱՆԻ ԴԵՌ ՉԱՓԱԶԱՆՑ ՈՒՇ ՉԷ։ Աստված օրհնի բոլորիդ», - ասել է նա:

Հունիսի 13-ի գիշերը Իսրայելի Պաշտպանության բանակը հայտարարել է «Առյուծների ազգ» գործողության մեկնարկի մասին, որի նպատակն է վնաս հասցնել Իրանի միջուկային և հրթիռային ծրագրերին։ Դրանից հետո Իսլամական Հանրապետության մի շարք բնակավայրերում տեղակայված օբյեկտներ ենթարկվել են հարվածների։

The New York Times թերթի տվյալներով՝ իսրայելական ուժերը հարձակվել են Թեհրանի շրջակայքում գտնվող վեց ռազմաբազաների վրա։ Մինչդեռ Իրանի պետական IRNA գործակալությունը հայտնել է, որ Նաթանզ քաղաքում՝ ատոմային օբյեկտի տարածքում, տեղի է ունեցել պայթյուն։

Դեպքերի կապակցությամբ Իրանի Գերագույն առաջնորդ Ալի Խամենեին հանդես է եկել ուղերձով՝ դիմելով քաղաքացիներին։ Նա հայտարարել է, որ բանակին տվել է «գործելու ազատություն»՝ Իսրայելի հարվածներին պատասխանելու հարցում։
