Երկրի միջուկում ոսկու հսկայական պաշարներ են թաքնված

Երկրի ամենամեծ ոսկու պաշարները իրականում թաքնված են շատ ավելի խորը, քան կարելի էր սպասել։

Երկրի ոսկու և այլ թանկարժեք մետաղների պաշարների ավելի քան 99,999%-ը թաղված է 3000 կմ պինդ ապարի տակ՝ փակված Երկրի մետաղական միջուկում և մարդկության հասանելիությունից շատ հեռու։

Այժմ Գյոթինգենի համալսարանի հետազոտողները Հավայան կղզիների հրաբխային ապարներում հայտնաբերել են ռութենիում (Ru) թանկարժեք մետաղի հետքեր, որոնք, ի վերջո, պետք է որ եկած լինեին Երկրի միջուկից։ Արդյունքները հրապարակվել են Nature ամսագրում։

Երկրի քարքարոտ մանթիայի համեմատ, մետաղական միջուկը պարունակում է Ru-ի որոշակի իզոտոպի՝ 100Ru-ի մի փոքր ավելի մեծ քանակություն։ Սա կապված է նրա հետ, որ Ru-ի այն մասը, որը 4,5 միլիարդ տարի առաջ Երկրի միջուկում ոսկու և այլ թանկարժեք մետաղների հետ միասին փակված է եղել, այլ աղբյուրից է եկել, քան այն սակավ քանակությամբ Ru-ն, որն այսօր պարունակվում է մանթիայում, հայտնում է Planet Today-ը։ 100Ru-ի այս տարբերություններն այնքան փոքր են, որ նախկինում դրանք հնարավոր չէր հայտնաբերել։

Այժմ Գյոթինգենի համալսարանի հետազոտողների մշակած նոր ընթացակարգերը թույլ են տալիս դրանք հայտնաբերել։ 100Ru-ի անսովոր բարձր ազդանշանը, որը նրանք հայտնաբերել են Երկրի մակերևույթի լավաներում, կարող է նշանակել միայն այն, որ այդ ապարները, ի վերջո, առաջացել են միջուկի և մանթիայի սահմանից։
