Հռոմի պապը պատմել է իր դեմ մահափորձի մասին

Հռոմի պապ Ֆրանցիսկոսը պատմել է, որ երեք տարի առաջ Իրաք կատարած պապական այցի ժամանակ իրեն հաջողվել է խուսափել մահափորձից: Այս մասին գրում է The Guardian-ը:

Պոնտիֆիկոսը բացահայտումն արել է Spera («Հույս») ինքնակենսագրական գրքում, որից որոշ հատվածներ հրապարակել է Corriere della Sera թերթը:

Ֆրանցիսկոս պապի խոսքով՝ իրեն վճռականորեն խորհուրդ էին տվել չուղևորվել Իրաք 2021 թվականի մարտին, քանի որ Covid-ը դեռ մոլեգնում էր, իսկ անվտանգության ռիսկերը բավականին բարձր էին, հատկապես Մոսուլում՝ «Իսլամական պետություն» ահաբեկչական խմբավորման զինյալների կողմից ավերված հյուսիսային քաղաքում: Սակայն կաթոլիկների հովվապետի խոսքով՝ ինքը վճական էր կատարել առաջին պապական այցն Իրաք:

Նրա խոսքով՝ Մեծ Բրիտանիայի հետախուզական ծառայությունն իր՝ Բաղդադ ժամանելուց հետո ծրագրված մահափորձի մասին տեղեկությունը փոխանցել է Իրաքի ոստիկանությանը: Վերջինս տեղեկացրել է Վատիկանի անվտանգության ծառայությանը:

Հռոմի պապի խոսքով՝ մահապարտներից մեկը կին էր, որը Մոսուլ էր ուղևորվում պապական այցի ժամանակ իրեն պայթեցնելու համար:  Բացի այդ, կազմակերպիչները մահափորձի համար որոշել էին օգտագործել արագ ընթացող բեռնատար:

Ֆրանցիսկոս պապն այնուհետև Վատիկանի անվտանգության ծառայությունից հետաքրքրվել է՝ ինչ է պատահել մահապարտների հետ:

«Հրամանատարը հակիրճ պատասխանեց. «Նրանք այլևս այստեղ չեն: Իրաքյան ոստիկանությունը բռնել է նրանց, ինչից հետո նրանք իրենց պայթեցրել են»: Սա ինձ ցնցեց. դա ևս պատերազմի թունավոր պտուղն է», - նշել է կաթոլիկների հովվապետը:
