ԱՄՆ նորընտիր նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը հայտարարել է, որ Սիրիայի նախագահ Բաշար ալ Ասադը «փախել է իր երկրից» այն բանից հետո, երբ կորցրել է Ռուսաստանի աջակցությունը։ Նա այս մասին գրել է Тruth Social սոցկայքում:

«Ասադը գնաց: Ասադը փախավ իր երկրից: Նրա պաշտպանը՝ Ռուսաստանը, Ռուսաստանը, Ռուսաստանը՝ Վլադիմիր Պուտինի գլխավորությամբ, այլևս շահագրգռված չէր պաշտպանել նրան։ Ռուսաստանի համար այլևս պատճառ չկար այնտեղ առաջինը լինելու։ Նրանք Սիրիայի նկատմամբ ամբողջ հետաքրքրությունը կորցրել են Ուկրաինայի պատճառով, որտեղ մոտ 600,000 ռուս զինվոր վիրավորվել կամ զոհվել է», - նշել է Թրամփը:

Նա ընդգծել է, որ ՌԴ-ն և Իրանը հենց հիմա թույլ վիճակում են՝ մեկը Ուկրաինայի և վատ տնտեսական վիճակի, մյուսը՝ Իսրայելի և վերջինիս ռազմական հաջողությունների պատճառով:
