Բայդենը Վրաստանի վերաբերյալ հայտարարություն է արել

Միացյալ Նահանգները վրաց ժողովրդին և Վրաստանի ինքնիշխանությանը, տարածքային ամբողջականությանը և եվրատլանտյան նկրտումներին աջակցելու երկար պատմություն ունի: Այս մասին ասված է ԱՄՆ նախագահ Ջո Բայդենի հայտարարության մեջ։

«Ուստի ես խորապես անհանգստացած եմ երկրի վերջին ժողովրդավարական հետընթացով, ներառյալ օրենսդրության ընդունումը, որը պատճենում է ռուսական օրենքները, որոնք սահմանափակում են հիմնարար ազատությունները և սահմանափակում են անկախ քաղաքացիական հասարակության կազմակերպությունների համար տարածքը:

Հոկտեմբերի 26-ին Վրաստանում տեղի ունեցած վերջին խորհրդարանական ընտրություններն ուղեկցվեցին վարչական ռեսուրսի բազմաթիվ փաստագրված չարաշահումներով, ինչպես նաև ընտրողներին ահաբեկելով և հարկադրելով:

Վրաստանի քաղաքացիներն իրավունք ունեն խաղաղ ճանապարհով արտահայտել իրենց տեսակետը այս ընտրությունների անցկացման վերաբերյալ, որոնք անկախ միջազգային և տեղական դիտորդները չեն որակել որպես ազատ և արդար։ Մենք կոչ ենք անում Վրաստանի կառավարությանը թափանցիկորեն հետաքննել բոլոր ընտրական խախտումները, չեղյալ հայտարարել այնպիսի օրենքներ, ինչպիսիք են այսպես կոչված Օտարերկրյա ազդեցության մասին օրենքը, որը սահմանափակում է հավաքների և արտահայտվելու ազատությունը, և անհապաղ երկխոսություն սկսել Վրաստանի բոլոր քաղաքական ուժերի հետ՝ ընտրությունների արդարությունը վերականգնելու համար:

Մենք կոչ ենք անում բոլոր կողմերին խստորեն հարգել օրենքի գերակայությունը և հիմնարար ազատությունները, որոնք մնում են Վրաստանի եվրաատլանտյան ապագայի հիմքը»,- ասված է հայտարարության մեջ։
