Այսօր Ս. Գրիգոր Աստվածաբանի հիշատակության օրն է

Հայ Առաքելական եկեղեցին այսօր նշում է Ս. Գրիգոր Աստվածաբանի հիշատակության օրը։ Այս մասին տեղեկանում ենք qahana.am-ից։

Ս. Գրիգոր Աստվածաբանը կամ Նազիանզացին ծնվել է 328 թվականին Կապադովկիայի Նազիանզ գյուղաքաղաքի մոտ գտնվող Արիանզ գյուղում Գրիգոր եպիսկոպոսի ընտանիքում: Նա կրթություն է ստացել Կեսարիայում, այնուհետև՝ Աթենքում, որտեղ էլ ծանոթացել է քրիստոնեության մեկ այլ ապագա խոշոր դեմքերից մեկի` Ս. Բարսեղ Կեսարացու հետ:

Որոշ ժամանակ ճգնողական կյանքով ապրելուց հետո Գրիգորը վերադառնում է Նազիանզ, հոր կողմից քահանա ձեռնադրվում, այնուհետև դառնում Սասիմայի եպիսկոպոս:

Ս. Գրիգոր Աստվածաբանը Ս. Բարսեղ Կեսարացու հետ համառ պայքար է մղել արիոսականների դեմ, մասնակցել նաև Կ. Պոլսի Բ տիեզերաժողովին: 

Նա վախճանվել է 389 թվականի հունվարի 25-ին: Գրիգոր Նազիանզացին թողել է հարուստ գրական ժառանգություն, որը թարգմանվել է հայերեն 5-8 դարերում: Հայերեն թարգմանության մի մասն ամենայն հավանականությամբ կատարել է Մովսես Խորենացին: 

Ս. Գրիգոր Նազիանզացին քրիստոնեության մեծագույն դեմքերից մեկն է, ով արիոսականների դեմ իր պայքարով նպաստել է քրիստոնեության անաղարտ պահպանմանը և իր հարուստ գրվածքներով մեծապես ազդել քրիստոնեական աստվածաբանական մտքի ձևավորման վրա:
