«ԱԺ ՔՊ խմբակցության պատգամավոր Հակոբ Ասլանյանի մասնակցությամբ նախօրեին տեղի ունեցած միջադեպի հետևանքով քաղաքացի Սամվել Վարդանյանի ձերբակալությունը պետք է արձանագրենք, որ Հայաստանի պատմության մեջ առաջին դեպքն է, երբ իշխանությունը թիրախավորում է ոչ թե քաղաքական ընդդիմության կամ նրա հետ ասոցացված սեգմենտի ներկայացուցչի, այլ պարզ քաղաքացու, ով ընդամենը իր քաղաքական-քաղաքացիական դիրքորոշումն է արտահայտել իշխանական ներկայացուցչի հետ պատահական հանդիպման ընթացքում, ընդ որում՝ զերծ մնալով հայհոյանքից:

Սամվել Վարդանյանին առաջադրվել է մեղադրանք ոչ միայն խուլիգանության, այլև քաղաքական հայացքներով պայմանավորված՝ թշնամանք հրահրելու հոդվածներով:

Այս մեղադրանքը ոչ միայն համարժեք չէ քաղաքացի Վարդանյանի արարքին, այլեւ ակնհայտ փորձ է քաղաքացուն քաղաքական դրդապատճառներով թիրախավորելու համար։ Ընդ որում, էական է այն, որ իշխանության ռեպրեսիվ քաղաքականությունը զուգորդվել է ցուցադրական ցինիզմի ակնհայտ դրսևորմամբ. դիմակավորված անձինք ՁՊՎ տանելու ճանապարհին, փաստաբանի հաղորդմամբ, առեւանգել են նրան ոստիկանական մեքենայից, ծեծի են ենթարկել այդ պահին ձեռնաշղթաներով անպաշտպան քաղաքացուն` Սամվել Վարդանյանին:

Իշխանությունը բացահայտորեն ահաբեկում է քաղաքացիներին՝ հասարակության շրջանում արմատավորելով վախ ու խուճապ:

Սա ոչ թե հետընթաց է ժողովրդավարությունից, այլ ամբողջական հրաժարում 2018-ի հեղափոխության հռչակած արժեքներից: Իշխանության նման ցինիկ ու դեսպոտ գործելաոճը ոչ միայն չի ահաբեկելու ժողովրդին, այլ խորացնելու է իշխանություն-ժողովուրդ՝ առանց այդ էլ առկա անջրպետը՝ նպաստելով հանրային տրամադրությունների արմատականացմանը»։

Ուստի, «Միասնություն» համազգային շարժումը կոչ է անում միջազգային կառույցներին, ՀՀ-ում գործող դիվանագիտական կառույցներին, այդ թվում ՝Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունում գրանցված իրավապաշտպան կառույցներին, վերանայել Հայաստանի իշխանության ժողովրդավարական բնույթի մասին այս տարիների արձանագրումները:

Իրավիճակին ոչ համարժեք նման գնահատականը միայն խրախուսում է Հայաստանում ավտորիտարիզմի ամրապնդումը և ռեպրեսիաների շարունակականությունը»:
