«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.

Նախօրեին Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը լրագրողների հետ զրույցում ասել էր, թե դեռ որոշում չկա մայիսի 8-ին Մոսկվայում կայանալիք Եվրասիական տնտեսական միության հոբել յանական գագաթաժողովին, ինչպես նաև ՌԴ նախագահի՝ մայիսի 7-ին կայանալիք երդմնակալության արարողությանը մասնակցելու առումով: Ճշտող հարցին, թե ինչի՞ց է կախված որոշումը, նա պատասխանել է. «Ինչպես բոլոր որոշումները՝ բազմաթիվ հանգամանքներից»: Մեր ունեցած տեղեկություններով, գլխավոր «հանգամանքն» Արևմուտքի ճնշումն է, որտեղից Փաշինյանին պարտադրում են ամեն գնով խզել կապերը Ռուսաստանի հետ: Հիմա Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը շատ լրջագույն որոշում կայացնելու շեմին է. գնալ Պուտինի երդմնակալությանը կամ առանձին մասնակցել միայն ԵԱՏՄ նիստին, նշանակում է՝ դեմ գնալ Արևմուտքին, իսկ ընդհանրապես Մոսկվա չգնալը բացարձակ թշնամական դեմարշ կարող է ընկալվել:

Սակայն արդեն իսկ խոսակցություններ կան, որ նա կարող է ցուցադրաբար չմեկնել Մոսկվա՝ սառը հաշվարկով, որ դա իսկապես կարող է վերջնականապես զայրացնել Ռուսաստանի իշխանություններին, որպեսզի նրանք որոշակի քայլեր անեն, այդ թվում՝ գազը թանկացնեն, այլ «սանկցիաներ» կիրառեն: Ուկրաինական և վրացական օրինակները աչքի առաջ ունենալով` դժվար չէ հաշվարկել, որ դա ավելի կխորացնի հակառուսական տրամադրությունները Հայաստանում։ Սա, անշուշտ, անգնահատելի նվեր կլինի Արևմուտքին, սակայն, նույն ուկրաինական ու վրացական սցենարները վերհիշելով, դժվար չէ հաշվարկել, թե նման արկածախնդրությունը ինչպիսի աղետ կդառնա Հայաստանի համար։

Մեր ունեցած տեղեկություններով, սակայն, Մոսկվայում ևս հիանալի հասկանում են Հայաստանի իշխանությունների, մասնավորաբար, Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի «խաղերը», ինչպես նաև այն հանգամանքը, որ տվյալ պարագայում ոչ թե վերջինիս, այլ բարեկամ Հայաստանի, հայոց պետականության ու հայ ժողովրդի հարցն է, որը փաստացի գերի է ընկել օրվա իշխանությունների ու նրանց աշխարհաքաղաքական արկածախնդրության ձեռքը: Ի դեպ, հիմա էլ ոչ քիչ թվով փորձագետներ նշում են այս հանգամանքը՝ հավելելով, որ ոչ մի կերպ չի կարելի թույլ տալ հայ և ռուս ժողովուրդների միջև թշնամանքի նշույլ անգամ:
