Ապրիլի 5-ի երեկոյան «Արմենիա Մարիոթ» հյուրանոցում կարևորագույն իրադարձություն է տեղի ունենալու Հայաստանի քաղաքական կյանքում։ «Համահայկական ճակատ» կուսակցության հիմնադիր համագումարը կայանալու է «Տիգրան Մեծ» սրահում։ Նախաձեռնող խմբի ղեկավարը Արաբկիրի նախկին թաղապետ Հովհաննես Շահինյանն է։
Առաջ անցնելով նկատենք, որ համանուն շարժումը, պաշտպանության նախկին նախարար Արշակ Կարապետյանի գլխավորությամբ, կուսակցության չի վերածվելու, այն պահպանելու է իր գործունեությունը և շարժման էությունը։ Արշակ Կարապետյանը տարբեր քաղաքական ուժերի, վերլուծաբանների հետ շփումներում, եկել է այն համոզման, որ անհրաժեշտ է ստեղծել «Համահայկական ճակատ» շարժում՝ քաղաքական պայքարն ավելի արդյունավետ եղանակով կազմակերպելու նպատակով։

Ստեղծվելով հոկտեմբերին՝ «Համահայկական ճակատը» զգալի աշխատանք է տարել Հայաստանի հասարակական, քաղաքական կյանքում՝ միավորելով կուսակցությունների, հասարակական կազմակերպությունների, մի շարք առաջատար հանրային դեմքերի՝ պայքարելու գործող իշխանությունների դավաճանական քաղաքականության դեմ։

«Համահայկական ճակատ» շարժումը շարունակելու է նույն ոգով իր աշխատանքը, և շարժման մաս կազմող քաղաքական ուժերը կարող են չանհանգստանալ։

Ինքը՝ պաշտպանության նախկին նախարար Արշակ Կարապետյանը, համագումարի աշխատանքներին կմիանա տեսակապով, խոսելու կուսակցության հիմնադրման շարժառիթների, նպատակների, գործունեության մասին։
Կուսակցություն ստեղծելու մասին Արշակ Կարապետյանն ավելի վաղ հայտարարություն էր արել, նշել, թե՝ հայրենիքի և մեր պետության ճակատագրի հանդեպ սրտացավությունն ու անձնական պատասխանատվության գիտակցումը հիմքեր են ստեղծում կուսակցություն հիմնադրելու համար, իսկ կուսակցությունն ընդամենը բազմաթիվ միջոցներից մեկն է Հայաստանի գործող իշխանությունների դեմ ավելի արդյունավետ պայքար մղելու, քաղաքական առաջիկա պրոցեսներին մասնակցելու համար։
