Մարկոսը 4-րդ դարի կեսերին եղել է Արիթուսի եպիսկոպոսը: Նրան են վերագրում աստվածաբանական հայտնի բանաձևումներ: Հուլիանոս Ուրացողի հալածանքների ժամանակ ենթարկվել է բազմաթիվ տանջանքների, ապա աքսորվել է հեռավոր մի կղզի, որտեղ էլ կնքել է մահկանացուն` կյանքի վերջին տարիները նվիրելով քրիստոնեության քարոզչությանը, հայտնում է Qahana.am-ը։

Հեթանոսների շրջանում քրիստոնեության տարածման նվիրյալ ջատագովներից է եղել նաև Ս. Պիոն քահանան: Հայտնի է, որ նա գործել է Զմյուռնիայում, որտեղ և նահատակվել է իբրև քրիստոնյա քարոզիչ:

Հազկերտ Ա-ի օրոք նահատակված բազմաթիվ վկաներից են պարսից արքունիքի նախարար Ս. Որմզդանան և պարսից իշխան Ս. Սայենը: Նրանք երկուսն էլ, զրկվելով արքայական ու իշխանական վայելքներից, շարունակում են հավատարիմ մնալ Քրիստոսի հավատքին և նահատակվում իբրև նվիրյալ քրիստոնյաներ:

Պարսկաստանում մեծահարուստ հրեա ընտանիքի զավակ էր Ս. Աբդլմսեհը: Հայրական հոտը հովվելիս նա ծանոթանում է քրիստոնյա հասակակիցների հետ, որոնք և մկրտում են նրան` տալով «Աբդլմսեհ» անունը, որը նշանակում է «ծառա Քրիստոսի»: Աբդլմսեհի հայրը, չկարողանալով քրիստոնյա իր զավակին կրկին հավատափոխ անել, դաշունահար է անում որդուն այն նույն տեղում, որտեղ մկրտվել էր երանելին:
