ԱՄՆ նախագահ Ջո Բայդենը, մեկնաբանելով Հորդանանի և Սիրիայի սահմանին ամերիկյան Tower 22 բազայի վրա հարձակումը, որի հետևանքով զոհվել է երեք և վիրավորվել 34 ամերիկացի զինծառայող, մեղադրել է Իրանի կողմից աջակցվող «Իսլամական դիմադրություն» խմբավորման զինյալներին, որոնք տեղակայված են Իրաքում և Սիրիայում: ԱՄՆ նախագահը խոստացել է վրեժ լուծել: Այս մասին գրում է The Guardian-ը:

Երկուշաբթի վաղ առավոտյան IRNA պետական լրատվական գործակալության կողմից հրապարակված հայտարարության մեջ ՄԱԿ-ում Իրանի առաքելությունը հերքել է, որ Թեհրանը որևէ առնչություն ունի հարձակմանը:

«Իրանը ոչ մի կապ և ոչ մի առնչություն չի ունեցել ամերիկյան բազայի վրա հարձակման հետ: Տարածաշրջանում հակամարտություն կա ԱՄՆ ուժերի և դիմադրության խմբերի միջև, որոնք պատասխան հարձակումներ են կատարում», - ասվում է Իրանի հայտարարության մեջ:

Սակայն Բայդենը ընդգծել է, որ ԱՄՆ-ն իր ընտրած ժամանակ բոլոր մեղավորներին պատասխանատվության կենթարկի, իսկ Պենտագոնն էլ վերահաստատել է նախագահի ասածն առ այն, որ Իրանն է կանգնած հարձակումների հետևում:

«Այսօր Ամերիկայի սիրտը ծանր է։ Անցած գիշեր Հորդանանի հյուսիս-արևելքում՝ Սիրիայի սահմանի մոտ տեղակայված մեր ուժերի վրա անօդաչու սարքի հարձակման հետևանքով երեք ամերիկացի զինծառայող սպանվել են, շատերը՝ վիրավորվել: Մինչ մենք դեռ հավաքում ենք այս հարձակման փաստերը, մենք գիտենք, որ այն իրականացվել է Սիրիայում և Իրաքում գործող, Իրանի կողմից աջակցվող արմատական զինյալ խմբավորումների կողմից: Մենք կշարունակենք ահաբեկչության դեմ պայքարելու հանձնառությունը: Եվ մի՛ կասկածեք. մենք բոլոր պատասխանատուներին պատասխանատվության կենթարկենք մեր ընտրած ժամանակին և ձևով», - ասել է Բայդենը:

«Մենք կպատասխանենք», - ավելի ուշ վերահաստատել է ԱՄՆ պաշտպանության նախարար Լլոյդ Օսթինը:

Մինչդեռ «Իսլամական դիմադրություն»-ը հայտարարություն է տարածել, որում ասվում է. «Ինչպես նախկինում ասել ենք, եթե ԱՄՆ-ն շարունակի աջակցել Իսրայելին, ապա սրումներ կլինեն: Տարածաշրջանում ԱՄՆ-ի բոլոր շահերը օրինական թիրախներ են, և մենք թքած ունենք պատասխանելու ԱՄՆ սպառնալիքների վրա, մենք գիտենք, թե որ ուղղությամբ ենք գնում, իսկ նահատակությունը մեզ համար պարգև է»:
