Ադրբեջանն ու Թուրքիան շարունակում են սպառնալիքների լեզվով խոսել Հայաստանի հետ։ Երեկ Թուրքիայի և Ադրբեջանի նախագահներն ունիսոն հայտարարություններ են արել, որոնք լիովին տեղավորվում են նույն տրամաբանության մեջ։

Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիբ Էրդողանը հայտարարել է, թե Արևմուտքի որոշ ուժեր մինչ այս պահը չեն կարողանում հասկանալ, որ ղարաբաղյան պատերազմով տարածաշրջանում նոր դարաշրջան է սկսվել։ «Նրանք, ովքեր տարիներ շարունակ հրահրում են Հայաստանին իրենց համար օգուտ փնտրելով այս աշխարհագրությունում ապրող բոլոր մարդկանց տառապանքներից, իրականում մեծագույն վնաս են հասցնում հայությանը, հայերին օգտագործելով դատապարտեցին նրանց անվստահության և տվեցին դատարկ երազանքներ, որոնք անհնար էին իրականացնել։ Հայաստանը պետք է տեսնի և ընդունի այս իրողությունները», - հայտարարել է Թուրքիայի նախագահը՝ կոչ անելով ընդունել ադրբեջանցիների կողմից մեկնած խաղաղության ձեռքը։

Արևմուտքին քննադատելու մեջ բոլորովին հետ չի մնացել նաև Ադրբեջանի նախագահ Իլհամ Ալիևը, Իրաքի նախագահի հետ համատեղ ասուլիսում հայտարարել է, թե «ոչ մի միջազգային ճնշում չի կարող ազդել Ադրբեջանի կառավարության կամքի վրա»։

Հայաստանին մեղադրելով իր սփյուռքն Ադրբեջանի դեմ հարձակումների համար օգտագործելու մեջ՝ Ալիևը պնդել է, թե դա որևէ արդյունք չի տալու։ Ադրբեջանի նախագահի խոսքով՝ Հայաստանն իր ապագան պետք է պլանավորի՝ ելնելով սեփական ազգային շահերից, այլ ոչ թե տարածաշրջանից հեռու գտնվող և արյունալի գաղութատիրական անցյալ ունեցող պետությունների հավակնություններից։ Ըստ Ալիևի՝ Հայաստանի կառավարությունը տարիներ շարունակ լսել է Արևմուտքի իր խորհրդականներին, իսկ նրանք լավ խորհուրդներ չեն տվել, ինչն էլ հանգեցրել է ստեղծված իրավիճակին։

Ըստ էության, որևէ քննադատական խոսք չհղելով Ռուսաստանի հասցեին և քննադատությունների բոլոր թիրախներն ուղղելով դեպի Արևմուտք, Էրդողանի և Ալիևի այս հայտարարությունները վկայում են, որ նրանք Արևմուտքից ինչ-որ ակնկալիք ունեն և ցանկանում են այս կերպ ստանալ իրենց ակնկալիքները բնականաբար ի հաշիվ Հայաստանի։ Իրականում Արևմուտքն ինքն էլ մեծ հավանականությամբ գործում է հենց թուրք-ադրբեջանական շահերի համատեքստում, ուստի և թուրքական կողմի հայտարարությունները պետք է ընկալել բոլորովին հակառակ ուղղությամբ և համապատասխան քայլերն էլ ձևավորել ըստ դրա։
