«Իրավունքի ուժ» հ/կ համահիմնադիր Արման Ղարիբյանի տեղեկություններով, Արմավիրի մարզպետի սպանված խորհրդականն իսկապես բռնություններ է կատարել կնոջ նկատմամբ: Մարզպետի խորհրդականին ճանաչողները հ/կ-ի համահիմնադրին պատմել են, որ ամուսինը կնոջն օր ու արեւ չէր տալիս:

Մեր հարցին, թե խտրական վերաբերմունք չէ՞, երբ բռնություն կատարած տղամարդուն դատապարտում են, իսկ կնոջն արդարացնում՝ հաշվի առնելով, որ տվյալ դեպքում կինն էլ ամուսնու նկատմամբ է բռնություն կատարել՝ քնած ժամանակ կացնահարելով նրան, Արման Ղարիբյանը պատասխանեց. «Խտրականության մասին կարող էր խոսք գնալ, երբ երկու հավասար սուբյեկտներ հավասար պայմաններում նույն արարքն են արել և արժանացել են տարբերակված վերաբերմունքի: Այնինչ, մենք չունենք հավասար սուբյեկտներ, քանի որ կանայք Հայաստանում շատ ավելի խոցելի են, քան` տղամարդիկ: Բացի այդ, եթե կինը լիներ բռնարար, տարիներ շարունակ ծեծեր ամուսնուն և մի օր էլ հերթական ծեծի ժամանակ սպաներ, ապա եթե նրան արդարացնող լիներ,այդ դեպքում կարող էինք ասել, որ սա խտրականություն է: Այնինչ, ըստ գործի նյութերի, կինը ստիպված է եղել այդ քայլի գնալ:
