ՀՀ ԱԺ նախագահ Ալեն Սիմոնյանն ընդունել է Հայաստանում Իրանի Իսլամական Հանրապետության նորանշանակ արտակարգ եւ լիազոր դեսպան Մեհդի Սոբհանիին:

ՀՀ ԱԺ նախագահը շնորհավորել է դեսպանին առաքելության ստանձնման առթիվ՝ մաղթելով արդյունավետ գործունեություն:

Այնուհետեւ Ալեն Սիմոնյանը ցավակցություն է հայտնել նախօրեին Իրանի Շիրազ քաղաքում ահաբեկչության զոհ դարձած մարդկանց հարազատներին եւ մտերիմներին, Իրանի ամբողջ ժողովրդին՝ շեշտելով, որ ահաբեկչության դեմ համատեղ պայքարը պետք է առաջնային նպատակներից մեկը լինի: Ի պատասխան դեսպանը նշել է, որ ահաբեկչությունն ազգություն ու սահմաններ չունի, եւ մեր երկրների բարեկամության հիմքում է նաեւ ահաբեկչական ակտերին անմիջապես դատապարտողական արձագանք տալը: Նա շնորհակալություն է հայտնել ՀՀ ԱԺ նախագահին շնորհավորանքի համար՝ ընդգծելով, որ դիվանագետի աշխատանքի ձախողումը վտանգում է ամբողջ երկիրը եւ մեծ հույս ունի, որ բարեկամ Հայաստանում իր առաքելությունը կպսակվի հաջողությամբ:

ՀՀ ԱԺ նախագահը համոզմունք է հայտնել, որ դեսպանն իր  ջանքերը կներդնի երկկողմ բարեկամական հարաբերությունների ամրապնդման ու խորացման համար:

Կողմերը քննարկել են միջխորհրդարանական հարաբերությունների կարեւորությունը՝ շեշտը դնելով օրենսդրական փոխգործունեության եւ ծագող հարցերին օպերատիվ լուծումներ տալու խորհրդարանական հնարավորությունների վրա:

Առանձնակի կարեւորվել է հայ-իրանական բարեկամական միջխորհրդարանական համագործակցությունը, որի շարունակական զարգացման գործում մեծ դերակատարում ունեն փոխադարձ այցերը:

ՀՀ ԱԺ նախագահն ընդգծել է, որ ջերմորեն է հիշում նախորդ տարի Թեհրան կատարած արդյունավետ պաշտոնական այցը՝ նշելով, որ սպասում է Մեջլիսի նախագահ Մոհամմադ Բաղեր Ղալիբաֆի պատասխան այցին: ԱԺ խոսնակը նշել է, որ Հայաստանի համար Իրանը եղել եւ մինչ օրս մնում է առանձնահատուկ գործընկեր, որն իր հավասարակշռված քաղաքականությամբ նպաստում է տարածաշրջանում խաղաղության հաստատմանն ու կայունության ամրապնդմանը:

Ալեն Սիմոնյանը դեսպանի ուշադրությունն է հրավիրել Լաչինի միջանցքի արգելափակմանը եւ դրա հետեւանքով Լեռնային Ղարաբաղում ստեղծված հումանիտար ծանր ճգնաժամին՝ ընդգծելով արգելափակման անհապաղ վերացման անհրաժեշտությունը: Նա շեշտել է, որ հայկական կողմի ջանքերն ուղղված են Հարավային Կովկասում կայուն խաղաղության հաստատմանը, որը շահեկան կլինի տարածաշրջանի բոլոր ժողովուրդների համար:
