ՀՀ ԱԺ նախագահ Ալեն Սիմոնյանի գլխավորած պատվիրակությունը հանդիպել է Միջխորհրդարանական միությունում Մեծ Բրիտանիայի եւ Հյուսիսային Իռլանդիայի Միացյալ Թագավորության խորհրդարանի պատվիրակության անդամներին: Ողջույնների փոխանակումից հետո ՀՀ ԱԺ նախագահը նշել է, որ բազմիցս ականատես է եղել բրիտանական խմբի ակտիվ աշխատանքին, ինչը խորհրդարանականների համար լավ օրինակ է:

Ալեն Սիմոնյանը ներկայացրել է հետպատերազմյան իրավիճակը եւ մանրամասնել տարածաշրջանի բարդ իրադրությանն առնչվող հարցեր: Նա նշել է, որ մեր երկրում հետեւում են Մեծ Բրիտանիայի խորհրդարանում տեղի ունեցող զարգացումներին եւ բոլոր այն խորհրդարանականների գործունեությանը, որոնք ի ցույց դրեցին 2020 թվականի պատերազմից հետո մեր տարածաշրջանում իրավիճակի ընկալման մակարդակը: «Մենք հավատում ենք, որ մեր միջազգային գործընկերների հասցեական հայտարարությունները եւ ճնշումը կարող են կանխել Ադրբեջանի կողմից հետագա ագրեսիան, ինչպես նաեւ նպաստել անպատժելիության մթնոլորտի վերացմանը»,- հավելել է Ալեն Սիմոնյանը:

ՀՀ ԱԺ պատվիրակության անդամները բրիտանացի գործընկերներին հանգամանորեն իրազեկել են արցախահայության շրջափակման, Լաչինի միջանցքի ճգնաժամի եւ Հայաստանի տարածքային ամբողջականության դեմ ադրբեջանական զինուժի ոտնձգությունների մասին:

Կողմերը փաստել են, որ Հայաստանը եւ Միացյալ Թագավորությունը ձեւավորել են երկկողմ հարաբերությունների հավակնոտ օրակարգ՝ հիմնված ընդհանուր արժեքների եւ սկզբունքների վրա, ինչպիսիք են՝ օրենքի գերակայությունը, մարդու իրավունքների եւ հիմնարար ազատությունների պաշտպանությունը, ժողովրդավարական ինստիտուտների ամրապնդումը:

Հանդիպմանը քննարկվել է նաեւ Միջխորհրդարանական միության շրջանակում միասնական օրակարգ ունենալու անհրաժեշտությունը՝ հաջակցություն մեր երկրների ժողովրդավարական ինստիտուտների ամրապնդման:
