Ապրելու Երկիր կուսակցության նախագահ Մանե Թանդիլյանը ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում գրել է.

Ամուլսարի հանքի շահագործման բնապահպանական գործոնը միշտ կարելի է քննարկել՝ այդպես էլ չունենալով լիարժեք ճշմարտություն: Միշտ կարելի է հազար հիմնավորում բերել՝ տնտեսական, իրավական, նույնիսկ ռազմական, թե ինչու է անհրաժեշտ այս կամ այն հանքի շահագործումը: Ակնհայտ է մի բան՝ մարդու կյանքը և առողջությունը բարձրագույն արժեք են, և դրա դիմաց որևէ այլ գործոն չի կարող նույնիսկ քննարկման առարկա լինել։
 
Հայաստանում օրեցօր ահագնացող ժողովրդագրական խնդիրը չի կարող ստորադասվել այլ հարցի, ընդ որում մենք ոչ թե պետք է մտածենք ծնելիության աճի, այլ նաև մահերի նվազման մասին: Իսկ այն, որ գոյացություններից մահվան դեպքերը սարսափելի մակարդակի են, և բնակչության լրջագույն հատված պայքարում է այդ չարիքի դեմ, ցավոք,ակնհայտ իրողություն է: Ակնհայտ է, նաև որ այդ հիվանդությունների գլխավոր պատճառներից մեկը հենց հանքերի շահագործման արդյունքում բնության աղտոտումն է:
 
Փաստ է, որ զարգացած երկրներում որտեղ մարդու կյանքը բարձրագույն արժեք լինելը ոչ թե ցանկություն է, այլ՝ իրականություն, հանքարդյունաբերությունը չունի մեծ դեր տնտեսության մեջ: Իսկ ահա Հայաստանի նման փոքր տարածքում հանքարդյունաբերությունը գրավել է ողջ երկիրը, և եթե շահագործվեն այս պահին արդեն իսկ լիցենզիա ունեցող հանքերը, ապա հետևանքները կլինեն ողբերգական: Ընդ որում, խնդիրը Ամուլսարը չէ, մնացած բոլոր հանքերն են, խնդիրներով հարուստ Թեղուտն է, անգամ Զանգեզուրի պղնձամոլիբդենային ընկերությունն է։ Որևէ վճարված հարկ ոչ մեկի կյանքի ու առողջության գինը չունի:
 
Տնտեսության կառուցվածքի փոփոխությունը այլընտրանք չունի, այլ ոլորտների զարգացումը պետք է դառնա կառավարության ռազմավարական նպատակներից, և աստիճանաբար պետք է անցում կատարենք այլ ոլորտների՝ չվնասելով աշխատատեղերը: Իսկ եթե ուզում եք զբաղվել արդյունաբերությամբ, ապա Հայաստանի առաջնահերթությունը ռազմարդյունաբերությունն է։
 
Կարծում եմ՝ կարիք չկա անդրադառնալու նաև ոլորտի տնտեսական ռիսկերին, երբ ՀՆԱ-ի մեջ զգալի մասնաբաժին ունեցող ոլորտն ունի մեծ կախվածություն միջազգային գներից, և տատանումները հանգեցնում են անգամ տնտեսական ճգնաժամի Հայաստանում: Հետևաբար, հանքարդյունաբերությունը Հայաստանում պետք է դառնա տնտեսության մեռնող ոլորտ, ոչ թե ոլորտ, որը սպանում է մարդկանց։
