Ռուսաստանի հայերի միության նախագահ, ՅՈՒՆԵՍԿՕ-ի բարի կամքի դեսպան Արա Աբրահամյանը իր Թելեգրամյան ալիքում գրառում է կատարել հայ -թուրքական հարաբերություններ կարգավորման վերաբերյալ:

«Դժվար է պատկերացնել մի հայի, ով չի ուզում խաղաղ ապրել իր հարևանների հետ: Բայց յուրաքանչյուրն իրավունք ունի իմանալ, թե ի՞նչ գին ունի այդ «խաղաղությունը»:

Իրապես ցավում եմ տասնյակ հազարավոր մարդկանց համար, ովքեր Թուրքիայում և Սիրիայում ավերիչ երկրաշարժի զոհ դարձան: Ոչ թե խոսքերով, այլ Հայաստանում Սպիտակի երկրաշարժի փորձից իմանալով, թե ինչ հետևանքների են բախվում այդ երկրներն ու ժողովուրդները՝  միաժամանակ ուզում եմ հասկանալ Թուրքիայի համար այս կրիտիկական օրերին հայ-թուրքական հարաբերությունների հաստատման արգացման շարժառիթները: Մյուս կողմից, Հայաստանն էլ հիմա այն վիճակում չէ, որպեսզի թելադրի կամ ձևավորի տարածաշրջանում խաղաղության կշռադատված և երկարաժամկետ օրակարգ:

Ակնհայտ է, որ այսպիսի ճակատագրական հարցերը չպետք է լուծվեն կուլիսների ետևում, առանց բազմամակարդակ քննարկումների: Հայաստանում և Սփյուռքում հասարակությունը պետք է իմանա, թե ինչ է տեղի ունենում,Հայաստանն ի՞նչ քաղաքական և տնտեսական պայմաններով է բանակցում Թուրքիայի հետ հարաբերությունների կարգավորման համար, որո՞նք են նրա պահանջները և, համապատասխանաբար, ո՞րն է Թուրքիայի դիրքորոշումը Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչման, Հայաստանի, Արցախի և նրա ժողովրդի ինքնորոշման իրավունքի, նրանց անվտանգության երաշխիքների վերաբերյալ, հայկական կողմն է՞լ ինչ պայմաններ և նախապայմաններ ունի (եթե այդպիսիք կան): Մեր ժողովուրդը չպետք է ոչպրոֆեսիոնալիզմի և կոնֆորմիզմի պատանդ դառնա: Ինչ համաձայնություն էլ կնքվի, հիմքու պետք է դրված լինի հայկական պետականության և մեր ժողովրդի շահը:

Տարածաշրջանին խաղաղություն է անհրաժեշտ, վաղ թե ուշ հայ-թուրքական միջպետական հարաբերությունները պետք է կարգավորվեն, բայց ո՛չ մեր պատմության և հիշողության գնով:
