ՌԴ նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինը Արևելյան տնտեսական ֆորումում ելույթի ժամանակ ասել է, որ Ռուսաստանը միշտ անկախ քաղաքականություն է վարելու և գնահատում է, երբ գործընկերները գնում են նույն ճանապարհով։ Այս մասին հայտնում է ՏԱՍՍ-ը։ Պուտինն ընդգծել է, որ Ռուսաստանը ինքնիշխան պետություն է, որը միշտ պաշտպանելու է իր ազգային շահերը՝ վարելով անկախ քաղաքականություն։

«Մենք արժևորում ենք այս նույն հատկանիշները գործընկերների մեջ, ովքեր երկար տարիներ վստահություն և պատասխանատվություն են դրսևորել առևտրի, ներդրումների և այլ համագործակցության ընթացքում։ Ես նկատի ունեմ, իհարկե, Ասիա-խաղաղօվկիանոսյան տարածաշրջանի մեր գործընկերներին»,- ասել է Ռուսաստանի ղեկավարը։

Նախագահը հավելել է, որ Ասիա-Խաղաղօվկիանոսյան շատ երկրներ չեն աջակցում «պատժամիջոցների կործանարար տրամաբանությանը», այլ հավատարիմ են փոխշահավետության, համագործակցության և իրենց տնտեսությունների ներուժը զարգացնելու սկզբունքներին՝ ի շահ իրենց քաղաքացիների։
