ՄԹ-ն կես միլիոն ֆունտ ստերլինգ կհատկացնի Հայաստանին և Ադրբեջանին՝ տարածքների ականազերծման նպատակով

Միացյալ Թագավորության կառավարությունը կես միլիոն ֆունտ ստերլինգ կհատկացնի Միավորված ազգերի կազմակերպության (ՄԱԿ) Զարգացման ծրագրին՝ աջակցելու Հայաստանին և Ադրբեջանին՝ տարածքների ականազերծման հարցում:

Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, Միացյալ Թագավորության կառավարությունից հայտնում են, որ հատկացված գումարի միջոցով իրականացվելու են կենսական կարևորություն ունեցող վերապատրաստումներ, տրամադրվելու է փորձագիտական խորհրդատվություն՝ տարածքն ավելի ապահով դարձնելու, վիրավորումներից խուսափելու ու կյանքեր փրկելու նպատակով:

«Միացյալ Թագավորության այս ներդրումը թույլ կտա օգտագործել ՄԱԿ-ի փորձառությունը, նվազեցնել Հայաստանում և Ադրբեջանում քաղաքացիական կյանքին սպառնացող ռիսկերը ու օգնելու մարդկանց՝ կառուցելու իրենց կյանքը»,- նշել է ՄԹ Եվրոպայի և Հյուսիսային Ամերիկայի հարցերով նախարար Ջեյմս Քլևերլին:

Նա կոչ է արել Հայաստանին ու Ադրբեջանին ստորագրել հակահետևակային ականների արգելման ՄԱԿ-ի կոնվենցիան:

«Կոչ ենք անում իշխանություններին՝ ապահովել, որ ՄԱԿ-ն ու մյուս մարդասիրական կազմակերպությունները կարողանան լիարժեքորեն աջակցել խաղաղությանն ու զարգացմանը ողջ տարածաշրջանում»,- ասել է նախարարը:
