Կաթողիկոսը Լիտվայի նախագահի հետ քննարկել է Արցախի ժողովրդի իրավունքների պաշտպանության հարցը

Մայիսի 20-ին Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Գարեգին Երկրորդ Ծայրագույն Պատրիարք և Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսը Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածնում ընդունեց պաշտոնական այցով Հայաստանում գտնվող Լիտվայի Հանրապետության նախագահ Գիտանաս Նաուսեդային:

Հանդիպմանը ներկա էին ՀՀ առողջապահության նախարար Անահիտ Ավանեսյանը և երկու երկրների դեսպանները:

Նորին Սրբությունը ողջունեց Լիտվայի նախագահի այցը Հայաստան և Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածին, ապա ներկայացրեց Հայոց Եկեղեցու ազգապահպան առաքելությունը հայ ժողովրդի կյանքում։ Վեհափառ Հայրապետը գոհունակությամբ արձանագրեց, որ երկու երկրների միջև շարունակում են զորանալ և ամրապնդվել բարեկամական կապերն ու փոխգործակցությունը։

Անդրադառնալով տարածաշրջանում տիրող բարդ իրավիճակին՝ Նորին Սրբությունն իր մտահոգությունն արտահայտեց Հայաստանի և Արցախի նկատմամբ Ադրբեջանի կողմից շարունակվող ոտնձգությունների, վերջինիս վերահսկողության տակ հայտնված տարածքներում հայկական հոգևոր-մշակութային ժառանգության ոչնչացման և յուրացման փաստերի առնչությամբ՝ Ադրբեջանի որդեգրած այդ դատապարտելի քաղաքականության կանխման և Արցախի ժողովրդի ազատ ու անկախ կյանքի իրավունքի պաշտպանության հարցում անհրաժեշտ և կարևոր նկատելով նաև միջազգային հանրության կողմից հետևողական ջանքերի գործադրումը։

Իր հերթին Լիտվայի Հանրապետության նախագահ Գիտանաս Նաուսեդան շնորհակալություն հայտնեց Նորին Սրբությանը ջերմ ընդունելության համար՝ անդրադարձ կատարելով երկու երկրների և ժողովուրդների կյանքում Եկեղեցիների և քրիստոնեական հավատի դերակատարությանը: Նախագահը նաև կարևորեց ջանքերի ներդրումը տարածաշրջանում խաղաղության և կայունության հաստատմանն ի նպաստ:

Զրույցի ընթացքում Վեհափառ Հայրապետն իր երախտագիտությունը հայտնեց ի դեմս նախագահի Լիտվայի իշխանություններին արցախյան պատերազմի ընթացքում և հետպատերազմյա շրջանում Հայաստանին ցուցաբերած աջակցության, ինչպես նաև Լիտվայի հայկական համայնքի նկատմամբ հոգատար վերաբերմունքի համար: Խոսելով ներկայիս երկրի առջև ծառացած ներքին և արտաքին մարտահրավերների մասին՝ Նորին Սրբությունը վստահություն հայտնեց, որ հայ ժողովուրդը Աստծո ողորմությամբ և իր ամուր հավատով ու հաստատակամությամբ կհաղթահարի այս ծանր փորձությունը և առկա բոլոր դժվարությունները։
