44-օրյա պատերազմը կարող էր այլ ելք ունենալ. մենք կկարողանայինք հակառակորդին ավելի ուրիշ բնագծերում կանգնեցնել, ոչ թե մեր սահմանների մոտ, այս մասին 168.am-ի  հետ զրույցում ասել է ՀՀ զինված ուժերի պատրաստության գլխավոր վարչության մարտական պատրաստության վարչության նախկին պետ, գեներալ-մայոր Վալերիկ Քոչարյանը։

«Զինված ուժերի զորամասերը հիմնականում պատրաստ էին ռազմական գործողությունների ժամանակ կատարել իրենց առջև դրված մարտական խնդիրները, քանի որ պլանային մարտական պատրաստություն եղել է, համապատասխան բոլոր առարկաներն ուսումնասիրվել են, այնուհետ այդ գիտելիքները կիրառման մեջ են դրվել համապատասխան մարտավարական զորավարժություններին՝ կամ մարտական հրաձգությամբ, կամ առանց դրա: Այսինքն, մարտի բոլոր ձևերով մեր զորքերը պատրաստվել են: Եվ պատերազմական գործողությունների ժամանակ, կրկնում եմ, ԶՈՒ հիմնական կազմը՝ ստորաբաժանումներ, զորամասեր, կատարել են իրենց առջև դրված խնդիրները: Բազմաթիվ փաստաթղթերից, նաև՝ պատերազմի ժամանակ մեր ձեռքն ընկած հակառակորդի մարտական փաստաթղթերից երևում է, որ Ադրբեջանն իր առջև խնդիր էր դրել դուրս գալ նախկին Խորհրդային Միության սահմաններին՝ 7-10 օրվա կտրվածքով: Բայց պատերազմը տևեց 44 օր, և փաստորեն 7 օրվա փոխարեն՝ մեր զինված ուժերը ռազմական գործողությունների մասնակցեցին և վարեցին 44 օր՝ մարտնչելով, հակահարվածներ հասցնելով հակառակորդին:

Գեներալը նշել է, որ դա խոսում է զինված ուժերի պատրաստության մասին: «Իհարկե, ասել, որ թերություններ չեն եղել, ճիշտ չի լինի, բոլոր տեղերում էլ թերություններ լինում են: Բնականաբար, խնդիրներ, դեռ չլուծված հարցեր կային: Օրինակ, բանակը համալրվում է 4 զորակոչով, եթե կային 1.5 տարվա զինծառայողներ, ապա նրանց շարքում կային նաև 1 տարվա և նոր զորակոչված զինծառայողներ, որոնք իրենց պատրաստվածության, փորձառության մակարդակով, բնականաբար, զիջում էին առավել երկար ժամկետով զինծառայության մեջ եղածներին: Եվ այս ամեն ինչը մարտական խնդիրները կատարելու հնարավորությունների և պոտենցիալի վրա ազդեցություն ունեցել է:

Բայց զինված ուժերը, զինծառայողները, հատկապես՝ ժամկետայինները, հիմնականում իրենց առջև դրված խնդիրները կատարել են: Շատ անգամ հարց է ծագում՝ այս պատերազմը մենք կարո՞ղ էինք հաղթել, սա ուժերի անհավասար պայքար էր, պատերազմ մի քանի պետության դեմ, և բնական է, որ հայկական զինված ուժերի և մեր դեմ կռվող համախումբ զորքերի հնարավորությունները տարբեր էին: Բայց փաստ է՝ այս պատերազմը կարող էր այլ ելք ունենալ, թերևս, մենք կկարողանայինք հակառակորդին ավելի ուրիշ բնագծերում կանգնեցնել, ոչ թե մեր սահմանների մոտ: Եվ այս պատերազմում մենք կարող էինք հակառակորդին ավելի շատ կորուստներ պատճառել, ավելի շատ ջարդել, շարքից հանել նրա և՛ մարդկային, և՛ տեխնիկական ռեսուրսները»,– ասել է նա:
