«Երբեմն նկատում եմ, որ գրում են «Մենք քեզ սիրում ենք, դու քաղաքականությանը մի´ խառնվիր»: Սա ինձ համար շատ տարօրինակ է: Նախ այն, ինչ տեղի է ունենում հերթական քաղաքական հարց չէ. երկիր ու հայրենակիցներ կորցրեցինք ու դեռ շարունակում ենք կորցնել: Սա արժանապատիվ երկիր ունենալու հարց է, որին ամեն օր մասնակցում են մեծ թվով երաժիշտներ, ռեժիսորներ, սպորտսմեններ, բազում մտավորականներ, երիտասարդներ ու մեծահասակներ: Մի խոսքով մարդիկ, ովքեր սրտացավ են ապագայի համար:
Ինչպե՞ս կարող եմ ես չմիանալ:
Ու ընդհանրապես, դուք իմ գործունեությանը առհասարակ հետևե՞լ եք) Գոնե մեկ անգամ երգերս լսե՞լ եք))
Հայրենասիրական երգի ոգին դեռ մանկուց է իմ մեջ ԱՐՄԱՏԱՑԱԾ, ու այդ երգերի մեծ մասը ինքս եմ գրել: Գրել եմ սրտով և մտքով: Գրել եմ այն ժամանակ, երբ ոչ հեղափոխություններ կային, ոչ էլ ընտանիքս էր քաղաքականության մեջ: Դա ես եմ, իմ հայացքներն են, որը միշտ եմ ներկայացրել թե´ երգերիս, թե´ ստեղծածս զարդերի, թե´ ընդհանրապես բոլոր քայլերիս մեջ:

Քաղաքականությունն ինձ երբեք չի հետաքրքրել ու գրավել, բայց երկրի ճակատագիրը` միշտ: Այնպես որ ինձ խորհուրդ տալ պետք չէ, թե ինչին մասնակցեմ, ինչին` ոչ, միշտ ինքս եմ որոշել ինչ անել ու շարունակելու եմ որոշումներս ինքս կայացնել: Ու հիմա էլ, երբ «խորհուրդ տվողների» ձևավորած երկրում պատերազմ է լինում, իմ հայրենակիցների հետ իմ ամուսինն էլ է գնում ու իմ ընկերներն են գնում:
Ու ես, որպես դժոխքի միջով անցած այս երկրի քաղաքացի, իմ ձայնը բարձրացնելու լիարժեք իրավունք ունեմ:
