Բզկտված ԱՐՑԱԽ. վերադառնալու´ ենք:
ԱԶՈԽ, գյուղ Արցախի Հանրապետության Հադրութի շրջանում, որը Նիկոլի և նրան կցված խունտայի շնորհիվ, ներկայումս ժամանակավորապես գտնվում է Ադրբեջանի «զինված ուժերի» վերահսկողության ներքո։ Ըստ բացատրական բառարանների՝ «ազոխ» բառը նշանակում է խակ խաղող։
 
Գյուղը տեղաբաշխված է հանրապետության հարավ-արևելյան հատվածում։ Շրջկենտրոն Հադրութից գտնվում է 22 կմ հեռավորության, իսկ Ստեփանակերտից՝ 50 կմ հեռավորության վրա։ Համայնքը լեռնային է, ծովի մակարդակից բարձր է 700 մ։ Ունի 1930,9 հա տարածք, որից 306,61 հա անտառային հողեր են։ Գյուղի տարածքով է հոսում Իշխանագետը։
 
Ազոխն աշխարհի հնագույն բնակավայրերից է, այդ մասին են փաստում Ազոխի քարանձավի ուսումնասիրությունները։ Քարանձավը գտնվում է գյուղից 700 մետր հեռավորության վրա․ այն թվագրվում է մ․թ․ա․ 300-50 հազար տարիների՝ քարե դարի։ Կրաքարե այս քարանձավը ունի շուրջ 8000 քառ. մետր մակերես, և պարունակում է ութ լայն այրերով 600 մ երկարությամբ խճճված անցքեր։ Այն տարածաշրջանի հնագիտության և հնէաբանության կարևոր հնավայրերից է, որով հնարավոր էր ուսումնասիրել նախնադարի մարդկանց տեղաշարժերը Հայկական լեռնաշխարհով։ Ազոխ քարանձավը կարևոր հնագիտական վայր է, որը նաև նշանակալի է մարդու էվոլյուցիայի, հնամարդաբանական ուսումնասիրություններում։ Ազոխի քարանձավն աշխարհագրորեն տեղակայված է բնական միջանցքում, որով հնագույն մարդիկ և մյուս կենդանի արարածները գաղթել են Աֆրիկայից դեպի Եվրոպա։ Այն վկայություն է, որ ժամանակակից մարդիկ և նրանց նախնիները բնակվել են կովկասյան տարածաշրջանում, փաստվում է չորս տարածքներից, այդ թվում և Ազոխի քարանձավից հայտնաբերված մնացորդներով։
 
Գյուղում կան մի շարք պատմամշակութային հուշարձաններ․ հաշվառված հուշարձաններից են գյուղից 1 կմ հարավ-արևելք գտնվող ու 13-րդ դարով թվագրվող «Ծիլտախաչ» անունը կրող կամուրջը, 17-րդ դարում կառուցված Սուրբ Աստվածածին եկեղեցին, 10-19-րդ դարերով թվագրվող պատմական գերեզմանոցը։ Հավելենք նաև, որ Գյուղի շրջակայքում են գտնվում Ամարխաթունի վանքը, Ցիցքար բերդը, Մելիք Սագամի պարիսպը։
Ազոխի տարածքում առկա են «Վերին», «Մեծ», «Մալլուլուվա», «Գետին» և «Միշկերակա» անունները կրող աղբյուրներ։
Նշենք, որ մինչ գյուղի բռնակցումն այնտեղ բնակվում էր 741 մարդ էր, կար 214 տնտեսություն։
 
Բնակչությունը հիմնականում զբաղվում էր գյուղատնտեսությամբ՝ անասնապահությամբ և հողագործությամբ։ Բնակավայրի տարածքի 1494,52 հա-ը գյուղատնտեսական նշանակության հողեր են։ Համայնքի տարածքում առկա են ֆելզիտի, մարմարեցված կրաքարի և գրանոդիորիտի հանքային պաշարներ։
 
Գյուղում կար միջնակարգ դպրոց, մանկապարտեզ, մշակույթի տուն, բուժկետ, գյուղապետարան։ Համայնքային ճանապարհները ասֆալտապատ, գրունտային և խճապատ են։ Կոմունիկացիաների տեսակետից գյուղը զարգացած էր․ հասանելի էր հեռուստատեսությունը, ռադիոն, համացանցը։ Ազոխն ապահովված էր էլեկտրաէներգիայով, գազամատակարարմամբ և ջրամատակարարմամբ։ Գյուղում սովորում էր 139 աշակերտ, մանկապարտեզ էր հաճախում էր 30 երեխա։
