Ծանոթ ու միարժամանակ անհայտ … «ալո» բառ

Մարդիկ հեռախոսազրույց սկսելիս անգամ չեն մտածում, թե ինչպես կարելի է ողջունել զրուցակցին: «Ողջույն», «Բարի առավոտ/օր/երեկո», «Բարի օր» «Բարի երեկո» և այլ արտահայտություններին փոխարինում է ունիվերսալ «ալո» բառը: Այդ բառի առաջացման պատմությունն խիստ խճճված է: Համաձայն վարկածներից մեկի՝ ամեն ինչ սկսվել է 11-րդ դարում Նորմանդիայի դուքս Վիլհելմ Նվաճողի կողմից Անգլիա ներխուժելուց հետո: Իրենց անասուններին նորմանդացի հովիվները հավաքելիս են եղել «Hallo» գոչելով, և հենց այստեղից էլ առաջացել է «halloer» բայը, որը նշանակում է «շարունակել գոռալ»: Հայտնի է, որ Թոմաս Էդիսոնը 1877 թվականի օգոստոսի 15-ին նամակ է գրել Պիտսբուրգի հեռագրական ընկերության նախագահին, որում պնդել է, որ հեռախոսով շփվելիս ողջունելու լավագույն բառը «hullo» բառը է, որը  անգլերեն փոփոխված շնորհավորական «hello»՝ բարև, բառն է, որն էլ իր հերթին վեր է ածվել «ալո»-ի: Բացի դա համարվում է, որ Ալեքսանդր Բելլը առաջարկել է այդ բառի  իր սեփական տարբերակը`«ahoy» բառը: Ըստ վարկածներից մյուսի՝ «ալո» բառն իր ծագումը ստացել է անգլերեն «hallow» բառից, որով ծովագնացները ողջունելիս են եղել հանդիպող նավերին: Գոյություն ունի նաև այլ տարբերակ, ըստ որի՝ «ալո» բառն առաջացել է հունգարերեն «hallom» տերմինից, որը նշանակում էր «ես ձեզ լսում եմ»: Այն կիրառել է հունգարացի գիտնական, աշխարհում առաջին հեռախոսակայանի հայտնագործող և «Telefon Hirmondo» հեռախոսային լրատվական ծառայության հիմնադիր Թիվադար  Պուշկաշը: Համարվում է, որ հեռախոսային խոսակցության  ժամանակ Պուշկաշն ասելիս է եղել «Hallom», ինչն էլ ավելի ուշ վերածվել է «Hallo»-ի կամ «ալո»-ի: Աստիճանաբար «ալո» բառը ներմուծվել է այլ լեզուներում՝ ֆոնետիկ նորմերին համապատասխան փոփոխությունների ենթարկվելով : Օրինակ հայերենում ու ֆրանսերենում այն հնչում է որպես «ալո», իսկ հունգարերենում «հալո»: Ռուսաստանում օգտագործվում է «ալո» և  «ալյո» բառերը, ընդ որում «ալյո»-ն նույն «ալո»-ի ձևափոխված ձևն է: Ընդ որում ցարական Ռուսաստանում և ԽՍՀՄ-ի առաջին տարիներին օգտագործվել է «կապի մեջ եմ» և  «սարքի մոտ եմ» արտահատությունները: Որոշ լեզուներ այլ ուղղությամբ են գնացել: Օրինակ, ճապոնացիները հեռախոսազրույցների ժամանակ միմյանց ողջունում են «մոշի-մոշի» ասելով, ինչը թարգմանվում է որպես «խոսում եմ-խոսում եմ», չինացիներն ասում են «վեյ»՝ «լսում եմ», իտալացիները «պրոնտո»՝ «պատրաստ է», հրեաները օգտագործում են իրենց ունիվերսալ ողջյունի բառը «շալոմ»՝ «խաղաղություն», էսպերանտոյով «սալյուտոն»՝ «ողջույն»  և այլն:
