ԱՄՆ Ներկայացուցիչների պալատը խիստ մտահոգված է հայ ռազմագերիների ճակատագրով

ՀՀ ԱԺ նախագահ Ալեն Սիմոնյանի գլխավորած պատվիրակությունը հունվարի 19-ին հանդիպել է ԱՄՆ Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի արտաքին հարաբերությունների հանձնաժողովի նախագահ Գրեգորի Միքսի, Բրեդ Շերմանի եւ հանրապետական Քրիս Սմիթի հետ:

Ողջունելով պատվիրակության անդամներին՝ արտաքին հարաբերությունների հանձնաժողովի նախագահ Գրեգորի Միքսը նշել է, որ իրենք 2018 թվականից ի վեր առանձնակի ուշադրությամբ հետեւում են Հայաստանում ընթացող ժողովրդավարական գործընթացներին: Նա նաեւ պատրաստակամություն է հայտնել մշտապես աջակցելու այդ բարեփոխումներին:

Հանդիպմանը քննարկվել են 44-օրյա պատերազմին եւ դրա հետեւանքներին առնչվող հարցեր: Ամերիկացի գործընկերների խնդրանքով Ալեն Սիմոնյանն անդրադարձել է Հայաստանի սահմանային անվտանգության, հետպատերազմյան հումանիտար խնդիրների լուծման եւ Ադրբեջանում պահվող պատանդների հայրենադարձման հարցերին: Ամերիկյան կողմը տեղեկացրել է, որ ԱՄՆ Ներկայացուցիների պալատը եւ մասնավորապես իրենց հանձնաժողովը խիստ մտահոգված է ռազմագերիների ճակատագրով եւ կարծում է, որ նրանք պետք է անհապաղ հայրենիք վերադարձվեն: Հանձնաժողովի նախագահը հանդիպմանը շեշտել է, որ չափազանց կարեւոր է ապահովել Հարավային Կովկասի կայունությունը եւ այդ համատեքստում անհրաժեշտ է հասնել Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտության լուծմանը եւ խնդրի տեւական կարգավորմանը: Միացյալ Նահանգները մեծապես կնպաստի դրան՝ այդ թվում ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի ձեւաչափով:

Հանդիպմանն Ալեն Սիմոնյանն ընդգծել է ԱՄՆ Կոնգրեսի Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի կողմից Ցեղասպանության ճանաչման կարեւորությունը՝ շեշտելով այդ հարցում արտաքին հարաբերությունների հանձնաժողովի դերակատարությունը: Շնորհակալություն հայտնելով ՀՀ ԱԺ նախագահին բարձր գնահատանքի համար՝ ներկաները եւս մեկ անգամ շեշտել են, որ այն իսկապես շարունակական աշխատանքի արդյունք է եղել:

Հանդիպման ավարտին Ալեն Սիմոնյանը տեղեկացրել է, որ Հայաստանի եւ ԱՄՆ-ի միջեւ դիվանագիտական հարաբերությունների հաստատման 30-ամյակի շրջանակներում նախատեսված են մի շարք միջոցառումներ եւ փոխադարձ այցելություններ: ԱԺ նախագահը հրավիրել է ԱՄՆ Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի արտաքին հարաբերությունների հանձնաժողովի նախագահին ու անդամներին այցելել Հայաստան՝ տեղում ծանոթանալու առկա խնդիրներին եւ ժողովրդավարական ձեռքբերումներին:
