«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.

Գեղարքունիքի նորանշանակ մարզպետ Կարեն Բոթոյանը, ով ծնունդով Վարդենիսից է, նոր նշանակումներ է արել մարզպետարանում:

Ըստ այդմ՝ Կարեն Բոթոյանը խորհրդական է նշանակել Վարդենիսի քաղաքապետ Վոլոդյա Խլոյանի եղբոր որդուն՝ Արա Խլոյանին: Չի բացառվում, որ դա ընտրությունների ժամանակ աջակցության դիմաց քայլ է:

Արա Խլոյանը «Արա» ընկերության տնօրենն է: Նա ու իր հայրը՝ Ֆիրդուս Խլոյանը, ով Վարդենիսի քաղաքապետի եղբայրն է, «Արա» ընկերության 70 տոկոսի սեփականատերերն են: Այս ընկերության անունը մամուլում հայտնի է Գեղարքունիքի մարզպետարանի տենդերները շահելու առթիվ: Մի քանի տարի առաջ մամուլում գրվել է, որ Գեղարքունիքի մարզպետարանը պետության կարիքների համար կապալային աշխատանքների կատարման պետական գնման պայմանագիր է կնքել «Արա» ՍՊԸ–ի հետ: Պայմանագրի արժեքը կազմում է 14 մլն դրամ: Այս գումարով ընկերությունն իրականացրել է Այրքի միջնակարգ դպրոցի տանիքի վերանորոգում:
