ՌԴ ԱԳ նախարար Սերգեյ Լավրովի հետ հանդիպմանը ՀՀ ԱԳ նախարար Արարատ Միրզոյանը նշել է, որ Ռուսաստանը Հայաստանի ռազմաքաղաքական դաշնակիցն է և հիմնական տնտեսական գործընկերը: «Այս առումով կցանկանայի հաստատել Հայաստանի պատրաստակամությունը հետագայում ևս Ռուսաստանի հետ հարաբերությունները կառուցել բարեկամության, համագործակցության և փոխգործակցության մասին պայմանագրի հիման վրա»,- ասել է Միրզոյանը:

«Երկկողմ հարաբերությունների զարգացման համար կարևոր դեր են կատարում կանոնավոր շփումները բարձրագույն և բարձր մակարդակով, որոնք թույլ են տալիս համաձայեցնել ռազմավարական առաջնահերթությունները, կառուցողականորեն կարգավորել արդիական հարցերը, սերտորեն համաձայնեցնել դիրքորոշումները միջազգային և տարածաշրջանային օրակարգի առանցքային հարցերի շուրջ: Դա հատկապես կարևոր է արագ փոփոխվող միտումների և իրավիճակի ֆոնին, որը ձևավորվել է մեր տարածաշրջանում Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի դեմ Ադրբեջանի սանձազերծած 44-օրյա պատերազմից հետո: Խաղաղությունն ու կայունությունը տարածաշրջանում մեր ռազմավարություն է, և մենք պատրաստ ենք ակտիվ երկխոսություն ծավալել այդ ուղղությամբ, սակայն տարածաշրջանում պահպանվում է բավականին լարված իրավիճակ, որը մեծամասամբ բնորոշվում է Ադրբեջանի ապակառուցողական քաղաքականությամբ: Ցանկանում եմ փաստել, որ Բաքուն չի կատարում ՀՀ, Ադրբեջանի և Ռուսաստանի ղեկավարների եռակողմ հայտարարութմաբ իր ստանձնած պարտավորությունները»,- ասել է Միրզոյանը՝ ընդգծելով, որ ադրբեջանական կողմը շարունակում է «անմիջական ոտնձգություններ թույլ տալ Հայաստանի ինքնիշխան տարածքի նկատմամբ, ինչին բախվում ենք սույն թվականի մայիսի 12-ից»:
