Armenian human rights activist: Out of captured persons, 19 have been tortured and killed by Azerbaijani servicemen

Out of the people who found themselves in captivity, 19 of them have been tortured and killed by Azerbaijani servicemen. This is what human rights activist Artak Zeynalyan wrote on his Facebook page.

“On the protection of the rights of Armenian captives in the European Court of Human Rights

Armenian civilians and servicemen have continued to be captured during the second war that broke out in Artsakh on September 27, 2020 and after the signing of the trilateral agreement on November 9, 2020.

Out of the people who have been in captivity, 19 of them have been tortured and killed by Azerbaijani servicemen, and this is deemed to be a war crime.

We have addressed the European Court of Human Rights with facts showing that prisoners of war and imprisoned persons have been tortured and killed.
