Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի նախկին մամուլի խոսնակ Վլադիմիր Կարապետյանն առաջիկա օրերին արտաքին գործերի փոխնախարար է նշանակվելու: Նման պահանջ է ներկայացրել ադրբեջանական կողը՝ Փաշինյան-Ալիև կապի անխափանությունն ապահովելու և ՀՀ իշխանության ներսում երկուստեք վստահելի մարդ ունենալու համար:

Mediaport-ն ավելի վաղ գրել էր, որ Արգիշտի Քյարամյանի՝ ԱԱԾ տնօրենի պաշտոնից ազատվելուց հետո Փաշինյան-Ալիև գաղտնի կապն իրականացվել է Վլադիմիր Կարապետյանի կնոջ՝ Լիլիթ Նազարյանի միջոցով, որը Աննա Հակոբյանի մտերիմ ընկերուհին է և Փաշինյանների անունից Կիևում մի շարք հանդիպումներ է ունեցել Ադրբեջանի ԱԳՆ ներկայացուցչի հետ:
Ադրբեջանը պահանջել է, որպեսզի Փաշինյանի կապավորը լինի ոչ թե քաղաքացիական անձ, այլ պետական պաշտոնյա, այդ պատճառով էլ որոշվել է, որ ԱԳ փոխնախարար կնշանակվի Կարապետյանը, որի կինը ամուսնու մանդատով կկարողանա շարունակել ստանալ և Նիկոլ Փաշինյանին փոխանցել Ալիևի առաջարկներն ու պահանջները:
