«Մոնթեն քեզ դիմավորելու է էնտեղ ու հարցնի՝ «այ էշ, դո՞ւ էիր, որ թերթեցիր Հայոց պատմության վերջին էջը»». Իգոր Խաչատուրովը՝ Փաշինյանին

Վաղը՝ նոյեմբերի 25-ին,  Քարվաճառը կհանձնվի թուրքերին: Թուրքերը, թերևս, օրը պատահական չեն ընտրել. նոյեմբերի 25-ին լեգենդար հրամանատար Մոնթե Մելքոնյանի ծննդյան օրն է, ով 1993 թվականի մարտ-ապրիլ ամիսներին իրականացված Քարվաճառի ազատագրման օպերացիայի ղեկավարներից է (Մոնթե Մելքոնյան (Ավո)-Մարտակերտի ճակատ):

Օպերացիայի հրամանատարներից գեներալ-գնդապետ Յուրի Խաչատուրովի (Յուրի Խաչատուրով-Լաչինի միջանցքի ուղղություն) որդուն՝ Իգոր Խաչատուրովին, ով մասնակցել է վերջին պատերազմին, Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի «ձեռամբ» Քարվաճառի հանձնման փաստը չափազանց վրդովվեցրել է:

«Լսի, վիժվածք, Մոնթեն քեզ դիմավորելու է  էնտեղ, նայելու է  հիվանդոտ ռեխիդ ու հարցնի՝ «այ էշ, դո՞ւ էիր, որ թերթեցիր Հայոց պատմության վերջին էջը»։ Ու գուցե առաջին անգամ նաև հայհոյի: Իրականում մենք բոլորս ունենք մեղքի մեր բաժինը։ Բայց նպատակը պետք է տանի մեզ առաջ։ Իմ  նպատակը՝ պարզ ճակատով, առանց ամոթի նայելն է  հորս աչքերին՝ իմանալով, որ Քարվաճառը մերն է՝ ՀԱՅԿԱԿԱՆ է»,- 168.am-ի հետ զրույցում դիմելով Նիկոլ Փաշինյանին՝ ասաց Իգոր Խաչատուրովը:

Արցախյան առաջին պատերազմի ժամանակ Քարվաճառը կարևոր ռազմավարական կետ էր հայկական կողմի համար, որի ազատագրման արդյունքում կայուն կապ հաստատվեց Հայաստանի և Արցախի միջև, զգալի կրճատվեց ճակատային գիծը, ապահով դարձավ  Մարտակերտի թիկունքը. Մարտակերտի ազատագրումը հնարավոր չէր լինի՝ առանց Քարվաճառի վրա վերահսկողություն հաստատելու:
