Սաուդյան Արաբիայում դատարանը «պատմական» որոշում է կայացրել մի կնոջ գործով, որը դատարանի առջև էր կանգնել առանց հոր թույլտվության ճանապարհորդելու համար: Ըստ դատարանի որոշման՝ նա ոչ մի հանցագործություն չի կատարել և իրավասու է ինքնուրույն ընտրել իր ապրելու վայրը:

Դատավորի այս որոշման մասին իր թվիթերյան էջում գրել է փաստաբանը, որը որոշումը «պատմական» է բնորոշել, գրում է alarabiya.net կայքը:

«Ողջույնի և գնահատանքի խոսքեր եմ ուղղում երիտասարդ դատավորին, որն ընդունել է այս պատմական որոշումը՝ հիասքանչ հիմնավորումներով: Այս որոշումը կդառնա Սաուդյան Արաբիայի դատական համակարգի պատմության նվաճումներից մեկը»,-գրել է փաստաբան Աբդուլռահման Ալահիմը:

Անցյալ տարվա օգոստոսին թագավորությունը հաստատել է նոր օրենքներ, որոնք թույլ են տալիս Սաուդյան Արաբիայի կին քաղաքացիներին դիմել անձնագիր ստանալու համար և ազատ ճանապարհորդել: Իրավական համակարգը նախկինում կանանցից անձնագիր կամ ճանապարհորդության իրավունք ստանալու համար չափահաս տղամարդու համաձայնություն էր պահանջում:
